as far as im aware, you are allowed any number above 10000

as long as its 6 digits, and not a copy of a show number.

That, or im just luckily bugged
Bugged I think.. the numbers are suppose to be hard coded for 91000 to 999999.. at least that is what all the Dev posts have stated.. reason.. CBS terms of development.

Your number isn't bugged. The game allows registries between 91000 (Ninety one thousand) and 999999 (Nine hundred and ninety nine thousand nine hundred and ninety nine)

Yours is 712005 (Seven hundred and twelve thousand and five). Well within the range.

They do love the benjamins. That's why they guard how the IP is used with an iron fist. A multi-million (possibly billion) dollar IP isn't going to cave because of how much the C-Store can generate on this game. Even if STO had the WoW sub numbers, not going to happen.

4 or 5-digit NCC numbers inthe C-Store are just Not Gonna Happen. It's not in CBS' best interest to allow such low numbers inthe game.

Why? It'll "dilute" the Abrams' reboot of Star Trek, which is going to USE numbers inthat range in further movies (and the possible TV-series reboot). It also would have "diluted" things if Enterprise had gone on beyond the 5 seasons it did, by in essence blocking off that range save for numbers already used.

How do we know this? There's a reason why the registry number of the Kelvin has a preceding zero - unique in Star Trek. it's because of any possible continuation.

So, fuhgeddaboutit. Not gonna happen. No real point to it in this game anyway.

Putting stuff like this on the C-Store would be nothing more than a naked money grab, as the work needed to offer it would be next to none.
