What is the most amusing or flat out funny in game moments?
Mine happens all the time. A tiny little escort/science ship thinks ramming will either kill me outright or severely damage my ship. 9/10 times they simply blow up from the impact and i suffer minor damage to my paint job. I cant help but LOL hard every time.
Getting my Star Cruiser sucked into a Deep Space Encounter and just able to warp out, but ship ended up destroyed in Sector Space from teh damage taken just trying to get out of teh encounter.
Okay, So last night, I am playing on a fog shrouded alien planet, looking for plants and trying to avoid random Klingons. I am scanning for plant life and what happens, i fall off the edge of a cliff. Now, normally, this would mean I take damage, fall to my death, rezz and come back fighting and suitably chagrined. However, this time, I fell off the cliff, but got wedged between the sheer cliff and the edge of the map. So here I am like Stallone in Cliffhanger, running along a sheer cliff supported only by the edge of my map and what happens? My crew follows me down there. Excpet they aren't smart enough to follow me. No, they have accepted death and become one witht eh wall. So I continue running the edge of the map until I reach a random outcropping of pink vegetation. I use it to bounce up the cliff back onto the map proper. Of course, now I am alone against a whole mess of Klingons and Targs. Although my Medical Officer survived and followed, I had the fun of watchign her freeze a Klingon who then promptly fell back down the cliff to be attacked by my meditating Boff's. In any case, I died quickly and without much honor. But I did make sure to bleed on the shoes of a local Swordmaster before hitting the revive button and beaming back to a fairly harmless part of the map.
