Star Trek IV : The Voyage Home

The movie is a giant excuse to throw the Enterprise crew into the 80's and make fun of them, the main plot device of the movie is never explained (the probe), the movie is a giant hippy message of "save the whales!", and the movie contributes nothing to the Star Trek universe outside of putting everyone on the Enterprise-A.

I agree. Worst of the lot. Flimsey story, a big vision condensed into a lower budget farce of a Star Trek story.

As much as it sounds like utter heresy.......

*deep breath*

The motion picture was actually my least favorite.
(ST:V in close second for the least fav position)

At least Final Frontier kept the uber weirdness levels at mild until the end, TMP was just freakish from the moment V'Ger showed up and got exponentially more 2001-ish as it went on.

Sorry to be so bluntly heretical an all :p

The first one. They could have covered that whole storyline in an episode. I did not need to watch a whole movie of it.

actually TMP was an episode, it was a scrapped script from Star Trek Phase 2 that got stretched into a long movie.

Generations.

Why? Because they killed Kirk in an inglorious way. And the plot sucked.

Generally I refuse the acknowledge the existence of that movie.
