Also annoying is that all sides of the Earth are bright.
And if you sit at the starbase and look at the Earth the Earth and the Sun is nearly the same direction, the sun is behind the Earth. But someone it still manages to light up the side it does not face.

Shows how much thought they put into stuff.

DEV already posted that Utopia Station was going to be added at one point and some shipyards too, sorry, but I can't find the post atm :p .

And Tbh SFA is easily going to be added seeing that SFA WAS going to be the starting point in STO at first.

I'm sure someday they will allow planets to rotate. After all they do have moving clouds..

Personally I would love the Solar detail and workings I found in Frontier: Elite. A game nearly 20 years old now that had rotating planets, planets you could fly to, enter, land on. The sun, atmospheric lighting based on time of day, all the planets of the solar system, commodities that were useful...

not to mention a radar system where I could tell where other ships were in relation to my own (and not get taken by surprise when an exploding ship is in fact a lot closer to me than the camera angle sugests)

Also, for the love of god..the blue nebula around earth...or whatever freakish blue space anomaly is in the system MUST MUST MUST be removed....it was a horrific design decision, id like to slap whoever decided not to make earths starfield black...like how it should be!! see below:

compared to this junk:

things like this cryptic, make me want to sit in a corner and cry cause you guys are messing up the canon and ST feel of this game beyond my comprehension....change it..you guys know its wrong.

this 'junk' is a canon design that was never used except in games.
Technology advances, so does spacedock.

I like it better than the old one.

Yeah there is way too many bright nebula backgrounds.
Did the Devs ever look up at the sky at night?

# 20 Bay area?
03-27-2010, 02:34 PM
Shouldn't the San Fransisco Bay Area be visible? It's just a big land mass when you look at it. One would think that the location of Starfleet Academy would be at least kind of detailed, or the bay area accurate when you look at it.
(yes, im from the bay area, and i want to see my house... lol jk):p
