Why is there an 30 minute timer before you can pick up the Explore the B'Tran cluster mission after you complete it? Not the daily. The regular explore mission that gets you 75 badges of the 5th order. I don't know if the other 4 explore missions are like this as well. But seriously. Why the timer??? What difference does it make that one can pick up the mission again right away after finishing it?

The other exploration missions also have timers, the difference is that the 30 minutes starts from when you accept the mission not when you complete it. I have to think that the B'Tran one is an oversight.

My question still stands though. Why is there even a timer??

Let's assume the timer works properly and starts counting after I accept the mission. Let's say somehow I finish the mission in 15 minutes, like i get 3 gather data scenarios is a row. Now I still have to wait 15 more minutes before picking it up again from Lt. Karbo. Why the wait? What was wrong with getting the mission again right away before?

Yeah ... leveling too fast.

There was no delay in closed beta and you could really burn through the quests fast for insane leveling.

You could only take the missions that take very little time, like the scan 5 anomalies missions. Then you could burn through them like nobodies business.

The 30 minutes from turning in sucks rocks though. I really hope that is a bug they are fixing quickly.

Think about if you were doing them one after the other after the other how soon would you get bored. This means you have to fly somewhere else to get bored. It stretches the process out.

I really hope this is a bug. The 30 min cooldown on the quest from completion is really rather bad.

It is not a bug. The timer was there before, and now there is a nice display showing you when you can accept the mission again, too.

Those give no skill points or merits, however.

Odd oversight there. You can go to a planet, scan 5 plants, and you get SP/Merits. If you fly around space and scan 5 anomalies, you get nothing.
