Over the coarse of the day, I have been on the recieving and giving end of a very large amount of excessive quantum torpedo damage crits, in the 15k+ range. This is not from a tricobalt or a high yield torp combo; this is a SINGLE, excessively powerful critical hit. My HYT3 often hits for 15-17k, but a single torpedo. Thats like the epic shots from the movies >examples<.

The organizedpvp channel got a kick out of them and we all had a good laugh about how stupid they were, but I thought that the forums should know about it. I will be bug reporting it tomorrow.

Yeah... ive had one quantam torpedo crit for 18k. I also had a torpedo high yield volley crit for 9k each torp. It was delicious to see those crit numbers fly up there.

Not that hard if you tried, haven't a clue off the top of my head but say they're base 3k, add a few mods, some skills, you should reach at the very least 5k. A single going down fighting at low hp'll boost that to 10k, add an attack pattern alpha, attack pattern omega, tactical team, attack pattern sigma (fine that one doesn't really exist). But at the very least just with that going down fighting, you should hit at least for 20k crit, add in crit severity and the other buffs subtracted by your resistances and that sounds about right. Did 65k with a tricolbalt before, which is probably my second highest hit asides from the 2 million/billion damage ramming speed back then.

Critical strikes have been fixed with the new update, before then they were not working as intended.

This is how they were supposed to work all along. Whether that's a good thing is another question. But I'm waiting to see a tricobalt device critical...

i don't know what debuffs the chap had apart from my fire on my mark, but i have go down figthing/apa/apo on and a quant hit him for just shy of 35K

Quantums are harmless... I had an 47.000 damage crit on a cruiser with my Beam Overload III

Funny thing is, if I use Beam Overload on a Target with Feedback Pulse I get something like 40.000 damage back... and considering my Raptor only has ~32.000 hp everyone should know that this means xD

Ah but then a hy3 could do that 4 times, ok unlikely but possible, and no more odd a result than a 47k beam overload. surviving in pvp was a challenge before the patch, now you have to hope you just go unnoticed long enough to deliver some damage yourself

The crits are nice, but so is the base damage
