Just a quick question, what ship in the Klingon arsenal do some of you feel could best fit an esscort role in the game?

Orion females are usually escorts on Klingon side. They are often seen getting out of BoPs and raptors.

BOP's only.
People in Raptors are already dead. They just don't know it yet.

Bird of preys rule, nuff said but I am looking forward to commanding a battle cruiser.

In general, I feel the BoP fits a wonderful number of roles for the fleet, including Escort.
- Doesn't hit as hard as a Raptor, but it is still respectable.
- Most maneuverable of all playable warships in the game.
- Universal BO slots means alot of flexibility, min / maxing of abilities, etc., to whatever suits your taste.
- Battle Cloaks: Cloaking when and where I want, barring any Cloaking cooldowns of the ability.

You CAN make the Raptor very brutal in the KDF Escort role, but you better have good situational awareness and most of all, patience. As a Raptor, you cannot be one of the first to wade into a fight. Raptors stand out too easily compared to the distinct shapes and outlines of the BoP & Battlecruisers. And any half-decent Fed will see you, know you're fragile as an Escort, and don't have the battlecloak of a BoP nor the toughness of a BC. You're a marked man. But there are some very savvy Raptor skippers out there, and I credit them for sticking with the ship, but for me, it's very dicey. It's like going around with a beacon that screams, "SHOOT ME, I'M A RAPTOR!"
