The Klingon faction was totally hosed by Cryptic. They have next to no customization of ships or characters, next to no PvE, and as we all know PvP in STO is barely tollerable.
Is it really in STO players' interests to continue to spend so many resources on Fedration additional "nice to have" ship designs, or is it a better choice to take those same resources and provide the 3rd world Klingon faction with more content (in this case number and type of ships along with ship customization), to make it a more livable experience, so that there are still a reasnable number of people willing to play the "other" side?
The BoP IS a science ship. I'm running it with a sci captain, 1 tac and 3 sci BOs, no eng.
Where's that level of customization on the fed side?
Ship variants and customization are not content, but anyone in their right mind knows that it is far easier and faster to roll out design elements than actual game content, ie quests, missions, fleet actions, etc. Klingon love is coming. Be happy they're not making us wait several months for the little things like other MMOs (think WoW).
Keep in mind that the T5 Science ships all have the Science Pod in their design. And the Dauntless does not have the pod. So it wouldn't fit in the T5 at all.
It's a cool looking ship, but would probably need to be T2? T3's all golfballs, and T4's the Intrepid, so ... T2 seems like the only alternative in science.
Nebula could work well in T4 since it's iconic like an Intrepid.
Hmm... Nebula skin. I'd love it for a T5 skin rlly, I'm not a fan of those weird pod thingies. I know you can make pod-less Science ships but the textures don't seem to cover up the exposed parts that well.
