as ive suggested in other threads, you should be able to pvp/run missions with anyone of any tier as long as you hop into your ship in that tier. the level of bo skills and amount of equiptment slots would balance things out.

in pvp obviously a level 45 in a tier 2 ship with mark 10s will beat a level 20 in a tier 2 ship with mark 4s, maybe limit the dps of all weapons to mark 4 levels in this situation to maintain balance, also no need to allow use of say the captain level ramming skill at lt commander, but you see how this could work and thus new blood would be able to have ques pop with bored higher levels useing their older ships

I just had a thought, what if the lack of action on Cryptic's part is 'cause they just want to kill this IP so they can move on to other things. There seems to be a pattern of pump out a product, don't support it properly, kill it and put out the next 1. How long till enough ppl figure that out, that nething with Cryptic/Atari attached to it never gets outta the starting gate again?...

STO is only easy to level cap if you play frequently and rush through the content solo. Sit back now and then and chat at Earthdock/Qo'Nos. Run missions with other players even if you have already played through those missions.

As to the limited Y Axis...this is not a PvP space combat simulator. The advantages of free movement/orientation are outweighed by the drawbacks. Imagine every time you meet another ship if it is upside down and skewed out of position with you, that breaks immersion. Given the limited arc of cannon weapons, Escorts would stand almost no chance of getting oriented for attack. Cryptic would have to add at least Ventral and Dorsal shield facings at least.

As to the new content, those STF's are designed to be difficult missions for full teams because people complained STO was too easy. If you want to effectively repeat these STF's you need to be in a Fleet and practice teamwork to achieve success. People are strange...one minute STO is too easy...the next it is way too hard. Adapt to the difficulty or do not do STF's.

As to Power Balance, this is far more of concern in PvP than anywhere else. I can agree with you that no one enjoys 'ship disabling' powers that in effect make you a helpless victim. Most players I meet are Space Skilled and have little invested in Ground Skills. I think this is because Space Combat is far more polished than Ground Combat. Cryptic claims they are working on fixing Ground Combat, perhaps time will tell.

You are not forced to group in PvE. If you turn off Open Teaming you can solo your head off. I myself, prefer to use Allow Invites so I do not end up in PUG's with impatient people who do not work as a team.

The Klingons are not scientists and thus it makes no sense to give them a dedicated Science Vessel. As to variety in Klingon vessels...they have the ability to freely decide on BO stations. The flexibility of this is a great advantage to a clever player. Klingons do not need more awesome rare abilities on top of that...and they can Battlecloak (something that should never have been allowed imho.)

More or less Klingons are geared for PvP, and from your post OP, I have a strong sense that you are looking at things from a Klingon PvP perspective. STO needs to engage PvE and PvP players. Ultimately though, it is a PvE game and PvP players will have to accept that their concerns are not the sole criteria for needed change in STO.

Bad grammar and spelling can render a post difficult (or impossible) to read and understand. Additionally, it makes the poster seem unintelligent, whether that estimation is true or false. Unfortunately there is an anti-intellectual trend fostered by lazy people on the Internet towards putting the burden of comprehension solely on the reader. Keep insulting 'grammar nazi's' until you guys finally stop feeling ignorant for not studying your grammar and spelling...no need to educate yourself when you can insult more educated folk yes?

I've noticed, the more I read internet forums, the more Stephanie Meyers seems to be an expert writer....

Yes, in Wrath of Khan they went straight down with zero forward momentum. So are you advocating coming to a complete stop and slowly sinking downward? It should be fun in pvp! Oh no! He's sinking! What WILL we do.... Oh yea, blow him up.

I've heard this before as well and totally disagree with it. STO does an excellent job of capturing star trek ship combat. These aren't star fighters and it to make the flight model more like a fighter is completely opposite of Star Trek ship combat.

Are alot of you complete idiots, or jjust blind,,, Yes there grammer errors, but last i checked,,,,,, this isn''t your freaking high school english class, and the points he was marking are perfectly clear. All the points stated are clearly more than just one guys opinion alot of peple all over these forums have wxspressed these problems and others to boot. Right now,, literally what we have is a Single player game, with social abilities. Leveling in this game ,,, a joke... end game content ,,,a joke, and so on and so you get the idea. Alot of the issues people have with the game, are not being addressed and our concerns and wants are being dissmissed. A council not by plyers choosing, how can that be a fair representation of our ideas. That is just an example of the devs taking in our imput like they have all along ,,They don't ,, Alot of issues on the forums were the same ones we had and posted in beta, but still nothing changed. Skill point tree designed for unlimited skills , then a week and a half before launch , changing it to limited skill points and not rearranging the tree to accomidate the changes. How dumb and poor developement. Apparently the people making the decisions about the game , are not gamers. Their morons.
I only hope is that CBS sees the game loosing money and steps in and puts a fire on cryptics/ataris but...
To sum it all up this game is a joke ,,,,, our only hope is for STO2 made by another company, not cryptic or atari.
