Ok, now i get the close/remove the iquit threads. This prevents the forums being flooded with unhappy x-players and potraying a bad image of both STO and Cryptic. However now they are closing all server crash posts?!!? . I logged on the forums this morning and went to check the link i saved. Simple to see how long the server was down for. Has peoples dislike and feeling of failure in Cryptic now got to the point they have to close any negative feedback?? Whats next? Q&A being closed because someone says something negative again the game??

Notably i now waiting for this post to be closed as well.

If you can cope with the heat cryptic you should have jumped in the lava pit!!!

Crash posts are as unnecessary as "I Quit" posts, and their removal isn't a big deal.
However, constructive negative feedback should never be removed.
I haven't personally seen a constructive post/thread removed to date.

I tried to load the forums earlier and noticed they were down. I went to the main STO site and that was down. I assume from your post now that the server too had gone down. Please, Cryptic, consider moving the forums at the very least to somewhere outside this arrangement so when things go badly we have one place to find information besides repeatedly hitting refresh. Better yet, create an official STO Twitter account where server updates can be sent. If there is one, oops and can someone link me?

That thread was pointless and borderline trolling.

Wouldn't of been posting if the server was up. But I'm glad you get to pick what is pointless. Sorry, to have offended your eyes and wasting your time to read it. I think it was funny to tie a server crash to a classic trek line to a c64 which the servers must be running on. But, wait you may not know what a commodore 64 is, or ever had to deal with one. Might be showing my age here.

You can't expect the captain, in the middle of a storm, to have a sense of humor. If you want to become an comedian, you gotta learn about timing. If you want to become a captain, learn when to shutup :p

You were probably providing a truly enlightening bit of info. Maybe the company didn't know the servers were down and it took your thread (littered amongst the other bits of forum gold) to keep everyone in the loop.

Frankly, if there is one "Server's Down" thread already, post your "Yea, it's down" reply there. Everyone trying to play will already know the server is down, but let's try and keep the pointlessness in one easily ignored place.

Theres no doughty then in all my years of posting on this types of boards that this one is the most censored , I have never received and infractions ever in any boards here I have 6 , I actual got one the other day for posting "QFT" lol , fond that funny.

But I have to say even though the Iron hand of the mods is bit overdone , they do not close threads that are "constructive" the threads they close are once that have nothing to do with the game but invite trolling , I think personally they only invite more hate to wards them self by being so rigged , but they are fair , and if the thread you mentioned was closed there must have been a good reason IMHO.
