Not Sure if this is the correct place to be posting this, sorry if it is not. However I am new to the game, but have been a ST fan since i was a little kid. I am creating my first toon tonight however am not new to MMO's as a whole. I would like to find a good RP guild that I could move up the ranks of. I do plan to play on a regular basis however am a member of the US Navy in real life and need a guild who is ok with a member leaving for months at a time on deployment once or twice a year. I would like to be part of an active fleet so please let me know if you are recruiting and please provide a little info about the fleet if you can. I am planning on going the escort or science route however I am open to anything if there is a need in the fleet. Off to make my toon, I will post with the name when i check back here later.
Hey, i believe 12th fleet would be perfect for you. We are a large, international fleet with many active, friendly members. We organise events and do some RP and PvP. We also try to help whenever we can, so if you are stuck on a mission, want some help with your build, or just want to team up or have a chat.
We are a Endgame and general laid back guild with about 90 members and 30 that are regular. Time and when you can be on is not a concern. We try to run Raids atleast every other night and have a need for Science and engineering officers. Anything you would like to play would fit our fleet though so please have a look and contact me IN-Game at Angel@Gbooth25 any questions feel free to ask away
We're a casual fleet, with no requirements or commitments required, other than having fun and behaving in a mature and respectful manner. We are a friendly bunch that'll allow you do play as you wish, be it want to level as fast as possible or take your time and learn the art of tribble farming. We're just here to help you play and enjoy what you paid for.
I normally prefer not to just post a list of things here (yes we have TeamSpeak, yes we have a forums, etc etc) but ask you to please check out all of our particulars at our website (http://www.shadows-sto.com) and see if it's right for you. We'd love to have you, when you are not surrounded by miles of water, ofc
I too have been an ST fan - for me since TOS (I'm a bit older than the normal gamer). I did spend a number of years in the Naval Reserve, and a career in civil service, most of which was for the US Navy. You would be welcome at the Vulcan Kolinahr Fleet, and would probably find yourself in the comfort zone there.
We are medium RP, have a matrix management structure (Staff and Line), have Vent for voice chat, even have a Fleet Uniform. We exist to enrich the gameplay experience of our members - and everything else is optional. We do this enrichment by sharing our info and intel (on www.vulcankolinahrfleet.com) and by not just teaming with each other, but by coordinating our teaming efforts so that each member can bring their strengths and skills to bear, and depend on the strengths and skills of their Fleet-mates as well. I personally like using my Science Officer skills to tractor an enemy ship while my Tactical Officer Fleetmates finish them off - great fun!
We also have a Fleet Bank with items to help you equip your ship, and personal weapons, shields, etc. for yourself and your BOs. We also have items in there for crafting if you like to do that (Memory Alpha).
We are worldwide, having members in many timezones, and our members have all kinds of schedules for playing STO, so there's almost always other Fleet-mates online to chat with, or team with.
Your choice of profession and ship type in STO can be whatever you wish, there's always a need for every profession. If you choose Tactical, you get to use cannons for high dps, but have limited defenses. If you choose Engineering you get to fabricate some interesting items for use, and can easily operate as a tank. If you choose Science, you can do interesting things with sensors, tractor beams, and operate as a healer. Regardless of your choice, you can use the help of the other career fields in your Fleet-mates, which is part of what makes this a great MMO.
If you are still looking, the CF has a really good RP division and i'm sure they would welcome you to join. We are a casual fleet who dab a little into every aspect of STO. We have RP, PvP, and PvE divisions who run regular events. We are a friendly group of people and we don't mind the casual player. If you have any questions or want to talk just let us know.
