We've now tried KA, as a fleet, several times and had no success. I don't see how Cryptic would think that this is possible without voice communication. But the matter seems quite simple, and I think I'll win on this logic - what is the percentage of players passing the space portion? My guess is that it's tiny.

This game is meant to have a broad appeal. Cryptic is killing that.

ok for all those who want to know how to do the space part right ......the_silencer and me decided to make a vid to show you how we do it all the time
sometimes we are unlucky because the tac cube does not hit the gate but anyway it is just a matter of time until we finish it

the_silencer will post the link to the vid soon(by soon i don't mean today.....first we gotta do mission.....then cut the vid+comments.....takes a while)

it's probably our best try ever ... 11mins for the first space part, 1h15mins total.

sry when i can't show you all how to do this but don't say it's impossible when there are groups out there who do the space part in 12 min and the whole mission in 1.20 hours
No more walkthroughs! lol

What i want to know is how to set up a ship to deliver that kind of DPS? My own tac not being RA yet, i've never toyed around with the big Escorts, but the way it seems to me is our tacs aren't delivering the good stuff! So instead of more walkthroughs, give us a ship build! (skillpoint build not necessary, just weapons, consoles and power distribution... though i'm pretty sure weapons power should be at max )

Nice video showing the delivery of a high amount of DPS to give credit where it have to. Regarding the cube spawn it is either while you destroyed the first gate in 2 cycles or a bug.

We have completed the first step yesterday as well with much more pain and 2 tries needed, every try the 2 cubes spawned for us once the first gate was down, but needless to say we needed more then 2 cycles to blow the first gate.

The 1st space part is about only dps, few tactics, just to be ready behind gate with all buff/debuff on when shield drop, it's nice to have someone who make count(1min, 30sec..) so you're fully overcharged :p to take down gate
if cube spawn, just let someone tank them, so 3-4 players could go behind gate to finish it
and eh! no need to kill all at the end, just send a mate to vortex to activate next part

for fitting, nothing more than the purple stuff mkx you got with marks(honnor, explo, valor), some weapons specific console(phaser, disrup...) green type you got with medals or explo badges..... and some skill of course for dps output....
myself i'm in test of a 8 beams boat cruiser, but i think i have more dps in escort, need some more tweaks

the 2 cubes always spawned regardless of how long it took us to take down the gate. we were really surprised that they didn't.

edit: checked the last patch notes, no mention of any changes to KA. so i would think it's a bug too.

Well, I fly in a Fleet Escort. I am not doing the most damage, but it is enough for KA.

Fore: 3x Disruptor Heavy Dual Cannons and 1x Photon Torpedo
After:2x Disruptor Turrets and 1x Tricobalt Torpedo
2 EPS consoles and 3 Tactical Disruptor consoles
Cannon Rapidfire II and III
Attack Pattern Beta I and II

It is easy to see if the Tacs/Escorts in your team have great firepower.
If you see a Tac/Escort firing on shield of the Tactical Cube, and the shield is not getting less or going slow, firepower is not good.
One Tac/Escort can kill all Probes at 1 side before they reach the middle gate. If he can not do that, it have weak firepower. One Sphere is doable for Tac/Escort, but more can give trouble because Spheres are using Tractor Beams. In that case the cruisers/science have to heal the tacs/escorts. Keep the Escorts alive!

Hmm, well I more think that the Cubes were suprised and afraid for our firepower
