Finally you got it... soo many threads about it and now, you implemented it...amazing

Just flew my first B'Tran-Cluster Missions with my RA 5 Cruiser on ELITE:

I did a couple of "ENEMY CONFRONTATION" and "DESTROY SQUADRON"- Missions and i have to say: well done m8s^^

The BREATHTAKING combat feeling of the last days of Closed Beta is BACK !!!!!!!!

Did you just swap to the same setting?

It feels like that, cuz you are in fear again of those alpha-strikes and a really intelligent AI that gives you a hard time...

Died one time right to the beginning of the first mission against an escort, cuz i wasnt used anymore of those capable foes! After that i adepted it and didnt died anymore but i had to use ALL of my BO-Skills to the right time and make some real hard dogfighting, trying everytime to outfocus my most weakenend shield whilst the enemy trying to focus it^^ Sometimes i was near to death, but i managed to stay alive and win those encounters!! So it IS possible to do...for sure! But you have to really think about what you are doing there...

Now PVE-Combat feels heavy as PVP-Combat but with the difference that you getting real 1 on 1 in PVE, which isnt often the case in PVP...

So, i am real amazed with this new feature, couldnt be better!!

DONT CHANGE ANYTHING MORE PLS !!! DONT LISTEN TO EVENTUAL WHINERS !!

If you cant fight the ships on ELITE, which will be the case for a solid part of the community (we have our experiences on CB), fly just with ADVANCED or NORMAL...but dont complain about the difficulty in ELITE

Really Guys...you saved the day... and i had so often thought about of cancelling my sub cuz of those lazy combat... but now...never mind

Pls EVERYONE with the same feelings post also in this thread

EDIT: Posted the same thread on TRIBBLE Forums, but i wanted to encourage all the starving Combat Pilots out there to try out ELITE-Setting on Tribble...just amazing...but be cautious: you could die

Cant say how excited i am

Played around some more and i have to say, that now, all the frustrating months of cookie-cutter gameplay are forgotten!!

All the nerving questions about the sense of playing and paying for a game that doesnt use its full potential are gone... (only those could understand my feelings who played in CB and experienced the whole possible might of NPCs)

Now all is fine...the sun is shining on the horizon:

- not much content? Never mind, i will now level up my alts which i left at beginning level cuz i didnt wanted again level up in boring missions... now i cant wait, getting this live

-Bugs and Disconnects? Doesnt matter, i will enjoy the space battles in the remaining times

-NO real Star Trek Feeling cuz of lacking Diplomacy and Exploring and Researching? Okay, this is still bad...but now i have my breathtaking combat feeling back which no other game can deliver to me

CONCLUSION:

I turned from a HATER to a FANBOY in just a few minutes, when i died the first time since months against a SINGLE NPC-SHIP on ELITE-Setting

Other than it being harder what is the incentive of a difficulty slider? More challenge sure but if the rewards are the same I'd just have that nagging feeling that people that play on easier settings are getting a "free ride" to the same rewards player using the higher difficulty settings get.

Maybe...but really doesnt matter to me!!

We are all still RA 5, so it doesnt count whether one with easier setting would level faster!! I will have more fun in return

It isnt the case that you encounter more foes, the foes are just still harder...like they should be if you compare their stats with your own ones:

Now they arent nerfed and tuned down anymore, the are fighting like they are designed for

And thats fun enough for me... i had played this game for my playing fun BEFORE the big nerfs in Open Beta cuz of complaining out of some parts of the community... now the PURE gaming gain is fun !!! It isnt the content or the missions...its just the gameplay which i enjoy.

And to be honest:

This game is pure combat (okay, it shouldnt be so)...so lets enjoy those combat :p

Im not sure, but i think that i read somewhere that Diff-Slider also affects quality of loot that drops (or frequency)...

I CANNOT confirm if this was made by a dev or just a regular member. In any case the Diff slider is more useful than that rediclous excuse for a DP... Waste of discspace if you ask me...

Do the enemies drop better loot on elite?

I guess I just wish they made it more difficult for everyone but I guess that would have turned off casual players. Don't get me wrong I love a challenge! I think I'll wait until this is live though, playing on tribble just seems like a waste of time.

...one thing i forgot to mention:

Devs said that there is a higher chance for better reward...

Maybe you have a higher chance of getting better loot, for example more green or blue items over the same number of killed NPCs ?!

Devs said so, i remember...but the number of killed ships on Tribble isnt high enough to prove this now...

Time will show that...but it would be logical
