So I did it. After my one month I decided not to pay for more, and I deleted even Star trek from my computer.
And ooooh now i see why you wanted my credit card number. So you can bill me once again.

This is how *all* P2P MMOs work. *All* of them ask you for a credit card or game time card. *All* of them require you to actively cancel your account from your account page. *All* of them work exactly this way.

I added the credit card.
Once the account creation was finalized, I canceled the subscription and removed the credit card.
I still get all 30 days of free play, and no way they can charge my card.

I know im the one to blame,this is why im not yelling. I can yell on me only for not beign careful.
I bought Star trek game and have 30 days free with my copy. You cant play without credit card number,so i put my numbers in,and forget about it. I never payed them from my card. I have my 30 days..

Bah..when you cancel your acc they give you survey "oooh so sad you are leaving..why are you leaving blah blah blah"

There's some very easy ways to prevent this.

If you know you're bad at remembering to cancel stuff then force yourself to WRITE STUFF DOWN. It couldn't be simpler. Use post-its, your calendar, your PC, your phone, your PDA, whatever, as long as it's something you check regularly or that can give you automated reminders.

Each time you subscribe to something just make a note of when the next billing date is due and that you need to decide in time to cancel or stay subscribed.

Or an even better solution: don't rely on automatic renewal at all.
Enter key -> Activate with CC / Paypal -> Cancel Subscribtion -> use gametime cards to top up at leisure

Today I told my friend, lawyer about this. This is almost illegal. And even not almost,i wont sue i dont care for 12 $, but this is really lame idea to grab some money.

to keep this short, law is: you cant bill or charge me for product i didnt ask! I bought my copy, installed,had my 30 days, i didnt payed them anything with my credit card. But as you know to activate acc you must give them card. As i sad, ok i didnt read the smallprint and fusnotes blah blah...to law even that doesn't matter.
It's a trick. How can they bill me and take money from my card? If i want to buy it,i will. They cant deliver their product this way. cant. againt the law. period.


I know lots of people fall on this little trick, also I know this post probably will not do anything about it.

Actually you did tell them to bill you . You did it when you selected a recurring subscription. and failed on your own part to not cancel that subscription.
