I hope it gets figured out for you. I can understand how much suck it would be.

I routinely play STO between 2 and 6 hours a day divided between 7 different characters. It's not a bug I've ever encountered. Beyond that I don't think you need proof. Ultimitely you just need to bug it and hope others have the same issue. It's just not something I've encoutered on any of the 4 characters I have who have SE.

your ship lacks discipline! :p

Actually once my guys didn't even bother showing up. So i'm guessing there is a bug or two with the ability depending on certain circumstances.

Still though, my main gripe with them is they don't wear the same uniforms as my captain and bridge crew.

I have seen this bug once. Was in the Fire caves on that buggy mission, called in the security team, watched them stand there for a few seconds and beam out while i was in combat. I just chalked it up to the mission seeing how 2 of my BO's lept off the catwalks into the fire, and the other 2 would just stand around getting shot at, refusing to do anything at all.

I did not bug that as a Security Team bug, but perhaps it was that problem... Didnt really stick around to find out. The mission wouldnt complete in my log to let me turn it in, so I just dropped it and moved on.

I have also had that happen to me a couple of times, the situation turned squirrelly, I called in my Security Escort, they beamed in did nothing while I fought off the enemy then beamed away like they were heros after it was finished.

And once a couple of days ago, surrounded by enemies I used that ability, they beamed in while I was shooting and rifle butting enemies, they looked around for a couple of seconds and then beamed away. I thought it was very funny and I was too amused to be mad But normally I havenít had any problems with it, except those times.

Even doing the Fire Caves mission probably the most buggy mission in the game the SE behaved totally normal, and I used them a lot after my medical (Science) officer and chief engineer jumped into the fire pit right at the beginning.
