And you're right, Crystalline Entity definitely sucks on the basis that fewer than 10 people can beat it.

I asked about the space battle clips because they're kind of irrelevant if you're showing off stuff that's not present for a specific mission. That's the sort of thing that ****es people off. I know there's the OTHER mission where you fight Cardassian and Jem'Hadar ships outside DS9, but that's not the mission this video is supposed to be about.
Well, to be fair, it would have fallen twice (once to the Klingons) had Gauron not listened to Sisko (see DS9's Way of the Warrior episode).

I think there were also a few occasions where it was taken over by a new, temporary Bajor rebellion. It was completely locked down due to an old Cardassian Security system accidentally activated by O'Brien (IIRC).
Then there was a time where some Mercs attacked the station to capture the Dax symbiont.

And unlike in the DS9 missions in STO - the station was under full control by the Dominion for several months! It wasn't just fought over. While the attacks on Deep Space Nine in STO are all still in progress and he enemies are fought back.

Not even to forget the countless of times the Enterprise (TOS and TNG) and Voyager have come under attack by alien life forms, the crew losing complete control of the ship.

Did only a few of us notice the new Fleet Escort variant? IMHO, the highlight of the vid. Finally something I'd like to fly in, without forcing myself.

I second this question. Will we see the space portion now?

Link to the news article.

When exactly can we expect this fleet action to be available and working? I had placed a post about this on the missions and episodes subforum just this morning, but I'll repeat what I said there here.

Yes, I realize the fleet action "DS9 Under Siege!" is currently in the game, but from everything I've gathered it seems to only be there in pieces.

Problem 1:

Let's start off with getting the mission. Apparently you're supposed to get this briefing from Grigori Yanishev (Mr. Fleet Action) :

"<rank>, we're picking up a priority one distress signal from Captain Kurland at Deep Space 9.

True Way Cardassian forces under the command of Gul Emek have laid siege to DS9! They've boarded the station and are blockading access to it and the wormhole.

I have diverted a task force to recapture the wormhole, but I need away teams to retake the station!

<rank>, I need you in this fight. Team up with your fellow Starfleet captains in this ground fleet action and save DS9!"

Except Grigori doesn't seem to ever offer the mission. As far as I can tell, the only way to find out there is a Fleet Action available for Deep Space 9 is to pull up next to the station and see the "enter fleet action" prompt. The above briefing never happens or directs you to the station.

Problem 2:

Everyone who had tested this fleet action on the test server swears there's supposed to be a space component that takes place at the end of the ground section of the space station battle. It doesn't appear to have reached the live servers. Was it removed? Is it coming back? Is it just failing to trigger?

In fact, nearly a full minute of this 1 minute 30 second trailer for the DS9 Fleet Action is focused on showing a huge space battle taking place around Deep Space 9.

Some answers here would really be appreciated.

Problem 3:

Players are complaining that the end reward for participating in this fleet action caps out at a blue Mk V item, regardless of your rank. I thought the rewards for these fleet actions were supposed to scale from the level banding? Has anyone received anything better? Otherwise this needs to be looked into as well.

Problem 4:

There are reports of the enemy units completely ignoring high-ranked players as long as the NPCs aren't fired upon first by said players. This same problem has been reported for Captain ranks and above in "The Big Dig" fleet action. Obviously this is broken and needs fixing as well.

I want to participate in this Fleet Action, but only when it's actually working properly. Can someone at Cryptic please hunt down some answers and figure out what's going on?

This is a bit mocking us players, as we could not play the space part of this mission yet.

Ah yes, the DS9 fleet action! One of the few times I've seen an old school train of NPCs chasing someone down. There's also the delightful sight that is almost every player spending the majority of the time on (plasma) fire whether alive, dead, respawned etc. Let's not forget the really awful targetting where you can seemingly select everything in the universe except the Legates and their holo projector toys. It's a grind in the truest sense of the word as you grind your way around counter-clockwise, then run to the other side, back to the previous side and then move up a little to finish it.

Space section? The only space 'section' I can think of is approaching DS9 and picking the option to join the fleet action. Where is it Devs? Broken? MIA? Coming soon?
