I was thinking ahead of today's Season 1.1 update, and planning a respec/BO powers reassignment. Currently, on my Fleet Escort I use 2 CRF I's, however I was wondering if it's a good idea to upgrade at least one of those to CRF II or even III instead of other powers I currently use, like HYT III, APO I & APB III...

So anyone knows what are the exact values and factors from CRF rank I, II and III?

Thx a bunch.

I'm not entirely sure and wish Cryptic would explain, but seems the difference is slightly more output.

I used Rapid fire 1 until Tier 5 and from then on rapid fire 3, It seems to me there is much more then a "slightly" higher Output. (Wich is good, Rapid 3 is a Commander skill and should rock)

I believe the stated values were 20, 40 and 60% more dps for each rank of Rapid Fire

It was being mentioned in the Tribble section that CRF was getting an inspection and then overhaul, together with The Big Three - FBP, SNB & VM, but for the life of me, can't find it anymore. From what I remember, it was being reported as III doesn't do much more dmg than I, and they're gonna look into it.

I'm not sure what could they do so to not further upset the balance - if they increase the dmg of II or III, combat would become even faster and a target will have even less time to react. If they decrease it, it will not justify taking them, instead of other useful powers such as HYT or Att.Patterns.

Only thing I see feasible is to decrease the I's dmg output, however, that could enrage all the Escort pilots and probably all of the Klingons.

But without the exact numbers, we can't speculate...
I just wish a dev would chime in with a response...

You're a little behind the times. Rapid Fire was changed several patches ago. What happened was that all ranks of Rapid Fire were behaving like rank 3. I believe I stated the correct values from that old post.

Right now criticals and stacking attack patterns are under review for the massive damage they're getting currently.

Right then, I'll test it out in the Elite enemy confr. with CRF II which I have handy on one of my BOff's.

Thx for reply.

All right, I've tested all of the CRF's. Trained 3 of my BOff's with each version and looked up the tooltip values inside the system space:

Default DPS, no CRF, no buffs, all relevant skills at 9, 3x +30 Plasma Consoles:
Plasma Dual Heavy Cannons Mk X - 1.303
Plasma Turret Mk X - 585

Cannon Rapid Fire I:
Plasma Dual Heavy Cannons Mk X - 1.694
Plasma Turret Mk X - 762

Cannon Rapid Fire II:
Plasma Dual Heavy Cannons Mk X - 1.827
Plasma Turret Mk X - 822

Cannon Rapid Fire III:
Plasma Dual Heavy Cannons Mk X - 1.953
Plasma Turret Mk X - 878

So it seems that CRF I, II and III increase the default DPS by approximately 30%, 40% and 50% respectively.

Considering all, I'm going with the HYT I & III, CRF I & II, APB I, APO III and Tac.Team I.

Nice post.

This just proves that Rapid Fire II and Attack pattern Omega III is better then Rapid fire III.
Attack pattern Omega III give 50% damage buff to all damage and makes you immune to holds ... for 30 seconds, Rapid Fire III gives you a 10% increase over rapid fire II to cannon fire for 15 seconds.
