Couple of points. I am not offended by this sort of talk. Boats are 'she's. Always have been, always will be if I have anything to say about it. It's not that these sailors believed the joke about why ships are 'she', but rather it is a tradition passed down from the first sailors through the generations.

If such a list was made in front of me I would have made a joke back along the lines of 'And without her you boys would just be treading water', accompanied by an obscene hand gesture if you know what I mean.
