Yea as an Escort Driver I have had no problems taking down ships and surviving since the patch.
I am really liking the changes, I am a tac officer so what buff are you going to take off me an attack pattern. Big woop.

RSP can still slow me down but with a good team it wont matter and if im solo then i just fly in and out of range with little problem especially with target engines so if someone hits RSP I can just fly away and come back later or I get lucky and my target shields drops a shield and my HY torps pound on you. .

Totally agree...working as intended.

Wish I could say Hazard Emitters being stripped fell into the same category, but that one really doesn't feel right. Then again, it's self-castable unlike ES or TSS (Transfer Shield Strength).

The New SNB should've just been a debuffer, and not have it affect cooldowns at all. Its rediculous that the cooldowns stay with you even after death. Heck, its really terrible when you get hit multiple times and it turns your 30minute Transwarp cooldown to 2 hours! Or Miracle Worker go fro 9 minutes to half an hour!

I have mixed feelings on the new SNB. When I'm on a good team, I like it a lot better than the old one. I mostly play my healers, and the old SNB just shut me down way too long. The new one hurts a lot, but I don't get hit with it any more than anyone else (after enemies saw me a few times they'd save the old one to use on me), and if you're fast you can pop a different defense or heal.

I specify "on a good team" though because if I'm the only player healing and throwing out Extend Shields, we're just screwed. ES is the only real defense against the new SNB, so any player without that ability really shouldn't expect to be on a winning team. I can heal someone else who gets their RSP knocked off, but if I get hit with SNB I'll either need help (very likely since I'd need my heals to survive and those are likely to have a short cooldown if I was healing other people) or I'll need to use everything I've got to stay alive and mostly stop healing the team.

Not to mention that if I'm the only healer, all those lovely buffs I give people that are about to die can be erased in a second, and it's likely to be 10 seconds or more before I have something else to give.

Teams with 2 primary healers and every member using 1 or 2 heals ought to do fine with the new SNB. It's a bit less of a problem than getting a healer locked out for 20 seconds with the old one, as long as you have plenty of people to throw out ES and reapply buffs.

But in typical PUGs, the new SNB is brutal. Much worse than the old one. PUGgers almost never seem to have ES, and almost never heal or buff someone who's being focus-fired. They figure that they rolled a Tac officer or that they want to tank, so healing isn't part of their job. STO already had a problem with 5-second kills, and now it's a lot worse since RSP has a major counter.

In some ways I feel like the new SNB is actually very balanced, but now basic ship durability needs to be looked at. Before the patch, starships were made of glass, but you could stack up buffs and tank for several minutes. Now that the buffs can be wiped away all at once, we're back to the starships being made of glass.

At any rate, I like it okay when I'm on a good team, but it's worse for PUGs than before.

even pugs learn, eventualy they to will see that their RSP is becoming a whole lot less effective. they might start adding in some ES in their build.

ES is a waste of a slot for a pug.

It was stupid to add anything other than weapons and shields to Space PvP in the first place. Once again Space PvP will become nothing more than a Hold vs DPS balance battle from here on out. Enjoy it...
