Seems like every time my ship scans a planetary surface, something is blocking our transporters and we have to beam down. Does anyone find this a bit silly? Be nice to find a planet where I can just fly around and beam up what I need without landing, or how about having a shuttle added to the zone at the beam in location and having the NPCs say, "We'll need to use a shuttle to land."

Or even how about having the landing area be a moon and not a planet? Non-atmosphere areas where we need space suits...so many cool things could be added to cut down the repetitiveness.

the thing I find funny is that in this case you BEAM DOWN when transporters are blocked. Sorry to ruin Cryptics Fantasy but beaming down is using the transporter. Which if blocked wouldnt be possible to safely beam down.

Everyone should have a Mr.Scott in his engineering staff.
But yes, logic would suggest that

Depending on the type of method being used, it would be totally reasonable (as seen in canon) to beam in but not beam out.
