We need to split the matches up beetween the lower group of a rank like Liuetent or Comander so the two halfes are seprate and klingons dont murder us. and a final thing the grade does matter each new grade gives you more effectivness in cobat it say so in the top bar so dont say grade dosent matter
Tweaks to the level banding for PvP are welcome.

However, with RA5 PvP (where ships and ground are meant to be more-or-less equal), it's fairly clear that they're evenly matched on that end.

This happens to the Klingons as well I've been in some fights on my Commander 3 vs Commander 10's and it is more difficult to bring them down. It might not be much of an edge but in a rank band, Grade 1-3 fighting grades 8-10 will have a harder time of it. The higher grades have 1-2 extra space skills and one extra ground skill. Not overpowering by any stretch but an edge nonetheless. However, focus fire (player behaviour not the skill) will kill most players.

Splitting the ranks into two bands will further divide the available population for a given game and make queue waits longer. I'd rather Cryptic works on the queue logic. A game should start with an acceptable range of players per side. Ten Klingons vs five Feds is not fun for the Feds, it should be 5-8 per side (as an example) not just a minimum of 5.

How many of the people were using extend shields on teammates when the klingons did this to you?

I'm suspecting the answer was none.

And that ... IS a teamwork issue.

I think the original poster is really just talking about when the teams are unbalanced in numbers (5v2, 4v1, etc.). Since Klingons will only do PvP, then they are more likely to get into a match as a full 5 person team. Klingons are sitting in Ganalda just waiting to join a PvP match. Whereas Federation players will more than likely be in the middle of a PvE mission, and they are much more likely to skip out on joining the next match when the prompt pops up. This is the fault of a terrible queue system where games will start even if there are uneven teams, and the teams will stay uneven because no one can leave and no one can join.

So in a sense, this results in an "unbalanced" game where the Klingon faction is more successful than the Feds.

Now mind you this is mainly happening at lower levels (Lt.C, Commander, Captain). At BG/RA level, there is a little more evenness in the number of players on both teams because there is more supply and demand for PvP. But at the lower levels, there is definitely an imbalance.

For example, how come I get into so many games that are 10v2? See picture: http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4072/...1faaa005_b.jpg

I very rarely get into a game that is actually 5v5 or 10v10.

That is just unacceptable to everyone in the match. None of us want to play a game where we outnumber the opponent; and the other side doesn't want to play a match where they are horribly outnumbered.

One solution to this would be to find 4 others that are doing PvP and and group before hand and queue as a team or find a fleet that does alot of premade PvP groups. Playing with groups that your used to also helps you learn to work better as a team. I have 1 guy I PvP with all the time and we can sometimes take on 4-5 Klingons at one time if they are uncoordinated enough and don't focus fire on just one of us. He's a cruiser/engineer (keeps me alive) and I'm an escort/tac officer ( takes out enemies).

Really, the only problem I have with pvp is Battle Cloak. A true Klingon would rather die fighting than cloak and run away.

True Klingons? Hardly to see them. As a fed ground pvper I mostly encounter strange little aliens of unknown species. (Because a custom alien trait is better than klingon?)
The future of ground FvK pvp is something like that: 3 feet tall aliens are fighting against 3 feet tall aliens. No humans, no klingons, no vulcans, no andorians. Just those annoying little creatures.
