Cmdr. Keryn here (sticking with Cmdr. as that has been my "nickname" during my civilian captain days in the Delta Quadrant).

I am captain now and wanted to start a ship collection once I hit admiral. Wanted to hear some advice on what ship class I should start with. As some may know, I'm part of starfleet's muscle and out to get some vengeance on the borg (screw the prime directive, the borg interfered with MY species' evolution), so I need something that deals some serious damage. Currently I'm looking at the assault cruiser, but the star cruiser seems to be tougher. I think T'Mir, my tactical officer, would appreciate the assault cruiser's more advanced tactical station and also, I've heard the sovereign class was designed as a "borg-killer". Sounds like my kind of ship.

Still, I want a collection, so I'll probably acquire an escort, too, but I don't know anything about escorts. So please, advise me, fellow free being of Starfleet.

Well, answer me this:

Do you want your ships to look cool, or perform well?

I run around in an Assault Cruiser, Imperial nacelles, everything else Majestic for look.

I have a Dervish-mixed fleet escort, as well as a deep-space science. I don't like the other cruiser, it looks like a BOB.
