If every once in a while they can't... that's life. It's nothing to really get upset over for long.

The majority of people either did not want a death penalty, or at least a voluntary one. Cryptic lead the forums to believe that it would be voluntary. In the end they forced and involuntary death penalty system on everyone.

The majority of people wanted a difficulty slider because so few people were completing the STF missions. They gave us a slider that did NOTHING to help the vast majority of players who cannot complete them. Only harder modes were given.

The vast majority of players wanted more races added to the game. Well, we got them, but have to pay for them on top of box fee and subscription.

Now, they drop game changing equipment into a sales scam, and on top of that refuse to credit players who have already recruited people even though this info should be in their logs.

There was also the 90 days free firestorm.

Catering to our needs... if by "our needs" you mean "shake every last nickel you can out of these players before they rage quit" then yeah, I agree.

I'm not sure I understand what you're talking about, the death penalty is completely optional and does not go into effect unless you raise your difficulty slider. As for having problems with completing missions on normal difficulty, I'm not sure that's the fault of the game as much as its the fault of the player not being able to play. STO is /incredibly/ forgiving for an MMO to the point where any casual player should be able to feel they've accomplished something.

I do agree on the paying for races argument and on not allowing people who invited players to retroactively get credit. However, on the retroactive bit I can see Cryptic's strategy. Those players are already on their books, they want more subscribers so they're offering the carrot at the end of a long stick. I'd love to be able to have my retroactive invites work towards the invites goal but it just isn't happening simply because that's not the way Cryptic's management wants it.

However, I do think the forum mods have been as helpful as possible and have gone to bat for players many times, it's just that when their bosses say 'No' it unfortunately means no.

There is no DP on normal. The majority of the people wanting a difficulty slider was because they thought the game was too easy not due to STF issues. I have no problem with C-Store races. As far as the Gal-X I wished it was available by other means but I am not worried about the RAF as a whole. Actually, if the RAF works, its a good thing.

Based on the number of responses I have seen about the Galaxy X class I feel it is worth it.

The subject obviously generates interest and the actual implementation will help to diversify the type of available ships.

I dont believe the Galaxy X should be better then any other Tier 5 ships however it needs to be better in some ways just like the escort is better in manuverability.

I believe the Galaxy X class should also be more availible to players.

Each side Klingon and Fed should recieve ship additions at the same time and the same rate.

Escorts, cruisers and science ships should also include a new ship variant. So rather than throwing out one ship at a time they need to throw out ships evenly among all types and factions. I hope that the Galaxy X would be reallly tough and have alot of fire power plus a cloak. But it should have a pretty slow turning rate same as the original Galaxy? Maybe the X class could have more power to warp core that can be transferred to shields or something? Basically the Soverign or other tier 5 ships should hold their own against the Galaxy X class due to more manuverability, but of course the Galaxy X class should be a tough cookie.

But I would prefer the Dev Team to work on developing a special area for open Pvp first, because Pvper will then continue to generate their own content, especially if the territories are capturable. That would keep people interested and staying subscribed long enough for them to generate revenue for PvE.

Pvp players would flock back to STO if they implemented a nice Open Pvp System.

Is there any way they could make Ship varients sellable on the exchange? could they make all of the Ships tier 3 and below White - Tier 4 and Tier 5 Ships Blue? Then make Endgame Ships that are Purple and separate from the tiers all to gether. Maybe even include the Hull charachteristics of Lower level ships yet pack a very big punch. That way it would diversify the number of times you feel like your looking in a mirror.

It would make Pvp and PvE more fun when grouping with a higher varieity of ships.

Then they could add new ships that dont really fit into the tiers anymore. Maybe you could recieve a Rare Ship as a reward for a hard missions or something, but only make very few of these ships availible. But it would be attainable to everyone. It would give people something to strive for in PvE at REAR5 level.

The goal would be to find a very unique ship that few other people will have.
