I'm sure someone could come up with the same logic for not playing for awhile, and having a lifetime sub.
I understand what you're saying but I'm asking you to make a choice, imagining that you are a monthly sub. Based on how much you enjoy the game, combined with how often you play, would you choose to resub for next month, or would you take a break and come back in a few months?

That's a good point, how much is a game of pacman at an arcade?

Hypothetically, at this point you'd have spent about $50 for the game and about $45 on sub fees.
Tough question, I don't like paying $15 for a month for ANYTHING including World of ******** lol. But I do it, so it's a hard question - since I'm totally in love with Trek I believe I would, yes, BUT I'm 200% thrilled I got Lifetime and NEVER HAVE TO WORRY about putting more money into the game. Yes, playing $200 something one time feels better then giving $15 every month for me lol

I would still do it. I'm still enjoying the game and see myself doing so for a while. I'd buy the lifetime sub again. I'm not so shortsighted to judge the game after this short of a period. Truthfully, for me anyway, the money was never the issue. I wouldn't have spent it if I didn't have it to lose. Buying the lifetime sub is like gambling, if you don't have the money to lose, you probably shouldn't be spending it. Once again, that's just me, I know it's a LOT of money for some people and I see both sides of it.

For me it was either be a lifer or never play this game, not because I don't like the game but because I refuse to pay $15 a month because being a lifer is actually cheaper in the long run.

However if I didn't care about the $15 a month then I would have to say that I would keep paying.

I would be taking a break, as I am anyway. The game is fun and has 'potential' to be a good ST game. Season 2 in July will be when I come back to play again.

I am not angry about my LTS. I went in know the situaltion. I made my decision because of the fact that it is an ST MMO. Things will be fixed, they will get better, the game will evolve and I can enjoy the game over the years.

Having been here since closed, I knew what was here, so yep I'd still play, stuff is still changing as I knew it would, there is still stuff i want...... war patrols, convoy raids, convoy escorts, more stuff like the mission where you had to raid and destroy ships at a station before they powered up...REALLY don't know why there isn't more of that considering we did it in missions already.. but I feel that it will come and so yep I'd still pay/play.

To answer your question first... Yes..

I do the same thing for every MMO that I tried/play. My latest would be *** of course which I don't play anymore.

I always give all games a full year before I make an objective decision on weather or not it is the game for me. I realize that after 3 mothns I really can't tell how the game is going to go becuase of all the things that are being added/fixed. Once the year mark hit, I would then really dig deap and rate the game on things that I want for a game to keep me playing. If the game has it, then I'll continue to play until it is no fun and then I move on.

If the game is not filling my needs by the year mark, then I move on and play something else. No hard feelings on my part or the games... It's my choice to spend/play any game, so I shouldn't jump on anyone for my choices. Thats just me though..

Right now, I will admit I'm not playing as much as I use to becuase the game is slowly chugging along.. but I AM HOPING that if we give it the time and good critisicm that it will turn out to be something we all want to play.

See you in game

I think that maybe some people are missing what I'm asking. It's more of a question relating to your current gaming experience and if you deem the next month's worth of play as equally as you viewed last month or the month before. I realize that many of you guys hate dishing out $15 a month for something like this, but I'm asking for your subjective opinions here. If you put yourselves in the shoes of a monthly subscriber, what would you do. Pay $15-30 for the next few months, or take a break to see the progress before committing yourself further to the game.

In other words, are you as completely invested and happy with this game after 3 months of playing it, or do you find yourself playing less often? How has your playing habits changed? Would those changes, if you paid monthly, influence your decision to resub?
