I didn't feel that it was appropriate to make an issue out of it with a new contest in the works. I am disapointed that you would feel the need to ruin the spirit of the current contest with it.

300 words is certainly a challenge. Hmm. Just noticed it's 12am Eastern time, and I'm on Pacific.

Well, might as well send it in regardless.

Hmm, delicious idea.

I got an idea for a Chocolate - Vanilla layered sundae, layered with graham crumbs, whipped cream, and a strawberry. And I'll call it the LaForge!

did everyone get auto response confirmations this time, telling what number their entry was? Mine was something like #4800 ... wow if that is a real number there is going to be a heck of a lot of work cut out for the Cryptic team... I think next contest I should volunteer to help sift through entries!

Yeah I got #4548... I think that is true entry numbers.

Lets say that the last contest counted as well so 4548 / 2 = 2 274

So my entry was # 2 274.

I entered it within a half hour of the deadline. so i would have been on of the last. And the judges have approximately 682 200 words to read. So the average reading speed is 3 - 6 words per second. So the judges have 113 700 - 227 400 seconds of reading, or 1 895 - 3 790 minutes, or 32 - 63 hours.

That should put reading into perspective. I would also like to mention that each judge needs to read ALL entries, for successful and equal judging.

don't forget a VISOR made out of Reese's

my entry was #4445 as of Monday at 4am in the morning... two days later it's only up by about a hundred. Started on the 4th, so you gotta figure 200 or so entries for the first day, and then have it gradually taper off to 50 a day. I honestly don't think as many people entered this one.

Hmm, I didn't receive and auto-response for mine and I sent it on the 5th. Guess it didn't make it.
