Just curious how many out there have gotten in the mood to re-watch some Star Trek Series after starting to play STO ???
I'm currently re-watching Voyager, partly because I play STO, partly because I found a good deal/offer on at least Season 1 and 2 on DVD, or rather the offer made me go for the deal and buy them faster than maybe if no offer. Still it was STO that made me get in the mood to watch it again. I'm always in the mood for sci-fi and fantasy though. Only series/movies I dont have to "get" into a mood to watch as I'm always in that mood.
Recently bought Enterprise Series on DVD and re-watch that one as well.
I started rewatching TNG to fill in the gaps from my childhood (when it was originally run).
I've considered DS9 too. I never gave that series or Enterprise a chance.
Oh same here at first. Thought it was too much Soap on the Station and didn't really fall for any of the actors/characters at first, but once they meet the Dominion, get the Defiant, Worf comes to the station and Sisko gets a beard it improves.
There comes a big war with true Epic space battles.
Who would've thought that STO would get me to appreciate Scott Bakula and his dang dog?
I grew up on star trek, I started watching DS9 and re runs of TNG when I was five. ( I was an odd child ) DS9, and voyager is what raise me so to speak. ( ok my parents raised me, but that was the time when I really started understanding Star Trek. ) without start trek I don't know what I would be like. ( maybe not a band nerd back when I was in high school ? ) But I didn't like enterprise, I watch it, but I didn't love it, it didn't seem like my star trek. ( which is strange because I should of eaten that up just due to my age. )
I said in another thread that we get too much Star Trek in the UK.
I have TNG, DS9, Voyager twice a day every day. a 6 or seven episode marathon ( mixed series ) every Sunday and ENT and TOS once a week.
I've stopped watching ( especially TNG, it's become painful how embarrassingly shallow and patronising that show was. I can't see what I saw in it in my youth )
STO has not altered my viewing of Star Trek. I've stopped watching it ( saw a DS9 today but I kinda just forgot to turn over whilst I was busy on the PC )
I have every episode of Enterprise on my PC and I've still only seen the first 5 episodes of series one. I just can't get into that. But it looks nice. ( as in well made )
I have every episode of the rest of Star Trek on DVD and I can't watch them any more. There is such a thing as too much.
