QFT. The borg spheres are ridiculously powerful now with an effect similar to feedback pulse and other damage that can go right through shields.

It went from fun and easy (with the right tactics) to annoying and extremely difficult (even with the right tactics).

The space part isn't too bad. But you do need a team of five people that are at least competent at pumping out some DPS. I fly a 6-turret cruiser with fore and aft quantum launchers. I've done KA. I was one of two people on the right gate while the other 3 were on the left gate. During the destruction of the left gate, two probes entered the time portal. The probes didn't get through from the right side.

All in all it was just a small mishap. Someone messed up on the first wave and two probes got through - crap happens. After that, no other probes got anywhere near the time portal.

My point is, don't judge a player by his weapon load-out. He may actually know what the hell he's doing.

I am the one on the other side..and I dont get ***** by those spheres.

BTW..the targets are the probes....attack them and then the spheres.....you must be fail if you cant do this part....and I fly an escort!

The spheres will still target you and they have tractor beams. And the probes are too close to avoid tractor beam range from the spheres. If you get hit once with a tractor beam, it will just give them more time/change to get a second one on you later, meaning you're stuck while the probes get away or until you are destroyed.

Polarized hull is not an ability slotted by everyone since it's not useful all the time and there are more vital abilities for PvP, making switching builds annoying just for PvE STFs.

Actually, if done correctly...the lead probe goes down fast...the 1 or 2 probes behind it take heavy damage upon explosion...at best...you might have 1 probe remaining before you even attack the spheres.

Who said anything about PH?? I never use it....I tend to blast them into oblivion...I do die, dont get me wrong there....but my job is to destroy as many probes as possible...and grab aggro from the spheres to prevent them from going towards the gate....by the time I have died...the other 4 have cleared the other side and are on their way to assist me, well atleast 1 or 2 of them anyways.

My problem is, that I can't take down the first probe's shields before it reaches just before it reaches the vortex. I've tried this strategy, I've tried splitting the team up to where it's two and three, tried four and one, and I've tried 5 and then race to kill the borg before they enter the vortex. I don't know what the deal is, but no one in my team can kill the borg in this mission before at least two get through the gate. I'm all out of ideas and strategies to look up. It's like I said before, I will give this mission one more chance. I will play a round with cutter.slade, but if I still get the same results, then I will drop this mission and never do it again, or at least not do it until cryptic fixes it like they know they should fix it.

did KA now 25 times,
when i did it the first time it took us about 3 hours to finish it...(because we had one in team who already did it on tribble)
when i do KA now with some mates we never take longer than 2 hours.......always between 1.38-1.50
(i know it can be done faster but we always kill all drones....resistance is futile lol)
for the space part we take when we have a good day 9-10 min......if not 12-13 min........probes are never a problem(1 is down in 3 sec) only thing which costs us time are the crashes during this mission^^
well 19Delta30 one thing is sure......we will finish the mission^^ just pm me when you have time for it

This whole thread is making me not even want to try Khitomer Accord. Endless frustration is not fun, it's just... frustrating! I have never finished CE for the same reason, 2+ hours of endless respawns (and this was before you could even take damage) for nothing.

The last time I tried to finish KA 2 weeks ago, we could kill the probes, no problem. Then we attacked the spheres so they wouldn't go through the gate, either, and before we even killed half of those, the next wave would arrive.

End of story, we were swamped with like 12 spheres after 3 waves, all of which pretty much prevented us from even moving with their tractor beams. And yes, I mounted Polarize Hull. Fun how it didn't seem to do anything about it.

That was 2 weeks ago, and my BP is rising just by writing this. If this is what'll be going for "fun" in STO, I'll be going to draw my conclusions from it. And if that happens, I'm not going to keep silent about it.

Thanks for sharing that honest feedback. I couldn't agree more: the spheres are overpowered and the spawn rate is too high (huge jump in speed after Cryptic fiddled with it).
