Thats right, anyone who buys lifetime should get 10% off all c store items.
Not going to happen, the C-Store is the only way Cryptic can get money out of lifetime members since we dont pay subscriptions. After a year we are a net loss for Cryptic thus the C-Store mitigates that loss for lifers that buy stuff. You think they are going to offer a discount ?
I purchased the lifetime for this and CO, because I enjoy both games and I looked at it as a long-term savings.
I play more casually and probably cost Cryptic a lot less in bandwidth than otherwise. When you pay monthly for something,..you get this feeling of obligation to play.. kind of like being at a buffet and you feel you need to get your money's worth, lol.
But we are not entitled to anything outside the original deal. That is just greedy. I am glad to shell out money on the C-store.
In fact, I would say lifers are probably their best C-store customers, because they are not paying $15 a month.
LTS provide a nice upfront cash amount but over long term its a losing proposition for Cryptic so if everyone got LTS = 1 year later Cryptic has no subscribers to fund their game.
Of course Cryptic have done a nice tactic with the C-Store by combining the pay for stuff dynamic of Free MMOs and the subscription mechanic of regular MMOs.
The next stage is pay for expansions...
Something which Cryptic showed they arent above trying in their other MMO... before the public whiplash caused them to mark it as a mistake.
