# 1 +5 Weapon Power settings ?
05-24-2010, 05:29 AM
Hi Sir,

Sorry for the noob question ; there is a console that gives +5 Weapon Power settings ( Captain).

Is this console worth the effort and badges please ? Shouldn't this console give your beamweapons especially some extra punch or what ?

Thx in advance for your answer !

If you want all out damage then yes, its highly likely of use. Although it will depend on what your baseline weapon power setting is and if you have any skills that can buff it.

The weapon power cap is 125. So the closer to that you are the greater output of damage there will be.

nope its not, just the modifiers are caped to the 125 limit.

You can have 125+ weapon energy, the advantage of having is higher then 125 is, that you are able to profit much longer form the 125 modifier if your weapon engery is something like 130 or 140.

This will be important with the next patch.

That's what I meant. Return on damage is capped at 125 weapon power.

Its better to slot an EPS (or two), then go above as otherwise its just a waste of power that could be used elsewhere.

Absolutely true now. In the next patch, however, EPS consoles will be almost worthless.

Hi,

I Know I Have to Use an EPS-regulator in My Fleetescort, but an EPS-regulator should ALWAYS be used or what, the shiptype is irrelevant ?

With the bad changes (in my opinion) for past patches, Cryptic made the EPS Flow Regulator pretty much a requirement for all builds. Anyone not running at least one, if not more, is going to be nerfed compares to other ships with them.

EPS Flow Regulators are Eng. Consoles right? I'm having a hard time finding one.

Correct. They're expensive on the Exchange since they're pretty much required for any competitive build. And they're only available from exploration repeatables at Commander (or is it Captain?) and above.

Thanx... Yeah, no luck on the Exchange. I'm a Cmdr 2, so maybe I'll be seeing one soon.
