How about having an option for the scan tool to search for anomalies or mission objectives?

it does scan for anamolies and "points" to them, but not objectives

Actually, it finds all anomalies, mission objectives, and interactable objects, and points to the closest one. OP is asking to be able to pick a type instead of having to open every crate before it'll tell you where the objective is. A reasonable request.

Exactly. Have an option to choose "what" to scan for. Is this the right area to request features?

I'd like the scan to post multiple results, maybe green for mission objectives, blue for anomalies and yellow for interact-able objects. It would still only show the 3 closest objects of course. I've found the current system annoying from the very start.
