and let us not forget those who spent the night before jumping out of perfectly good airplanes to be surrounded by Germans. God bless the Airborne volunteers.

I think all the idiots I see now are a sure fire replacement for that generation. They had D-Day we get Jersey Shore.

I feel like an a complete jackass for letting this slip my mind...especially after that history channel special I watched...

For D-Day; for those who gave life for our survival; and for those who brought down that menace; we of ST:O forums thank you for your gallant efforts.

I observed it by watching the Military Channel special, seemed to be the best way.

Still find it amusing that the German command still refused to believe despite the enormity of the invasion that D-day was the real one.
