Yes that's right, Voltron is coming back, and will be on Nicktoons.

Sounds like the 80s toons are coming back in a big way, so does that mean Sliverhawks, Galaxy Rangers and Robotech are not far behind?

So with work of this newest toon to join the rebooting of TNMT and Thunder Cats. What are a few others you would love to see make a come back?

Reboot Rocco's Modern Life, keep it 100% to the original and just call it ordering a new season 16 years late. Then the Pres will be happy.

all I really know about Voltron stems from Adult Swim on Cartoon Network, they ran it a while at 5 AM and i saw like maybe three episodes.... but of course the satirical masterpiece which was Titan Maximum in my book and at my age bested it.

edit:

Ok I found something that was done, but not sure if it's a series. I think it's the movie I was talking about. lol

Starblazers... or more properly Space Battleship Yamato has a new cartton movie out last December, subtitle Resurrection. However there is going to be a live action version of teh Iscandar story coming out in Japan this December. Waiting for either to come out on video here in subtitles.

Tobey Macguire is looking to produce and star in a live action Robotech. Not sure I see him as Rick Hunter, but I didn't think Robert Downey jr would make a good Ironman, so I can be wrong here.

I've heard about teh Voltron redo, but I won't make any judgements on it yet, let's just hope it's not as campy as a animated Dr. Who/Star Trek:TAS crossover

I thought that was the cast with Star Bazers, but I didn't watch the movie. It didn't feel right to me. lol

In the case of Tobey Macguire, he should move forward with the Robtech movie, after all he doesn't have Spiderman on the table anymore.

Yeah that second link you had was a slightly Americanified version of the Resurrection movie. This link is the more proper Japanese version. This version still has Kodai (aka Wildstar) as Captain of the reborn Yamato

Also here is alink to the trailer we have for the live action movie, and it looks like in one part showing a graphical display of Bridge 3 (the pod on the underbelly) being destroyed, which in the old Starblazers sereies happened many many times, including twince in one battle.

Nice links, but I can't speak Japanese. lol Been watching Japanese shows since a kid, but never tried to learn it. Shame too, cause I missed out on getting a very hot girlfriend a few years back. Only if I knew how to speak japanese, she would have been mine. lol

The live link just gets me mad. Why? Cause it was too short. lol

I feel the same way, but considering it won't be out in Japanese theaters, let alone ours till this December, it's understandable. Would like to see it expanded to a live action series, like they did to the original anime movie back in the70's
