Why before the game was released and the MAJORITY of the community was saying they didn't want different exclusives tied to different boxes you did it anyway

Then turn around a few months later and listen to the community?

Because they are a business. It is good business to offer incentives with your purchases. It is also good business to sell items the customers want.

I can always play star trek online on the same computer. Is their a way i can play on my laptop as well?

You can install it on your laptop too, but if your laptop cannot handle the graphics then it won't work.
