# 1 To all of my brothers in EMS
06-16-2010, 07:55 PM
EMS PRAYER

As I perform my duty Lord
Whatever be the call,
Help to guide and keep me safe
From dangers big and small.

I want to serve and do my best
No matter what the scene,
I pledge to keep my skills refined,
My judgment quick and keen.

This calling to give of my self
Most do not understand,
But I stand ready all the time
To help my fellow man.

To have the chance to help a child
Restore his laugh with glee,
A word of thanks I might not hear,
But knowing is enough for me.

The praise of men is fine for some,
But I feel truly blessed,
That you oh Lord have chosen me
To serve in EMS!

L. Lipps

God bless all EMT's, Paramedics and first responders who put their lives on the line every day so that others may be safe...be safe out there...

Of a different faith, but the thought is appreciated.

Fire-2 Certified.

Hey, seeing as how Picard day in my timezone is over in t-minus thirty I think it may be a time for an avatar change.

I hear that. Was around for the loss of two in my town, one in my company and one in a neighboring one. Always hard and always reminds you of just how important the men and women beside you are, that the only thing that brings you back from time to horrifying time is that person right beside you.

Certainly a different perspective on life.

amen i hear you there...i lost a partner of 2 years to a tactical action just a few months ago and its hit me hard...we knew each other so well that all we needed to do was look at each other and know what was going on...but i took a month off and jumped right back into the line of fire in worcester...each day is a constant battle and to find some one else that understands is always refreshing...in game if you want to add me as a friend im Clemens on fed, and Torlek on klink

Will do next time I'm on.

First fleet I joined I completely by happenstance met another guy by the name of Jags (in game name of course) that's a Firefighter out of Sydney. That was a pleasant surprise in on itself.

Still seems like we're a minority in this crowd. Cool to be different in this case though!

we are the minority in general...firefighters get all the glory, cops, which i am working for, get shot at, and emts get shafted cause no one thinks of us when they dial 911...so any support we get is good
