Regarding the nacelles. Keep in mind that the STO screenshot there is skewed due to the full 3D environment, whereas the pic up top is flat head-on.
What!? both pictures show the ship heading in the same direction and even if that was true the nacelles still wouldn't be that low. Last night on sto i looked at my excelsior and saw the nacells are lined with the saucer so I'm think did the devs use he same model for the sovy. The sovy nacelles should be a higher and also from a side view it looks like the ship is dragging the nacelles rather than sitting on the pylons.
Why is it that the Haj's neck is obviously articulated, (with what looks like hinge points and hydraulic rams/actuators) but stays down, like it is in attack mode, when it is in cruise mode? Should it not lift the saucer up level with the body, or is it because I used the Heg'tah's saucer this does not happen?
i hope when they redo the custimiszation system that you could remove the bit where the yacht is under the sovy saucer, always wonder will the part of the ship will look alot smooth with out the big part sticking out.
It may be the differences between the first and the nemesis versions. Here are a couple of comparisons:

Fixed
It should be noted, the top render (if I'm not mistaken) is the CGI model used for ST:Insurrection, it is not however, a 100% accurate representation of the stdio model that was built and does have a few minor differences.
The bottom render is actually not an offical model but is actually a very innacurate model that I'm pretty sure pre-dates Nemesis. The engines of the nemesis version should actually be a little bit higher up than they are shown on the first image,

you mean this, http://johneaves.files.wordpress.com...se-e-stuff.jpg the images in the black box is the nemesis sovy how it is in the movie and how the orignal was supposed to be. It is stated on memory alpha right at the bottom.

Yup, and ironically, the orignal hand-drawn version is very similar to teh refit version John designed that sadly didn't make it into the end sequence in Nemesis.

are you sure, i thought that one used in nemesis was the one he redesigned? I hope there is a picture of this some where, i really want to know what the sovy should of looked liked.
Not to derail the current conversation, but I was noticing something today (that's probably well known by now), and wanted to provide feedback.
I first and foremost want to applaud this --
Noticing that the bridge is a different material than the rest of the hull on the NX is a subtle but important detail! Way to go to the peeps that caught it!
However, as I'm sure the modelers are aware, its not exactly an exact match --
If I'd hazard a guess, I would assume that what they used for the bridge of the NX in game was probably the closest texture they had on hand for something copper / bronze like. But it's not quiet doing it for me simply because its really a different material. It's matte, for one, and and its a bit too stark of an orange.
Any word on when / if a better texture will replace this one? Thanks!
