Do you have any plans to clean up the decals (windows, etc) as part of this process? The missing bridge-deck windows on the Sovereign particularly come to mind.

And if so, then by IP ship, do you mean those ships designed by CS specifically for STO? Again, just want to be sure what I read and what I interpreted are the same thing... *Chuckle*...

If so, fantastic.

You seem to be working a late one tonight eh? Tomorrow will be fun (I hope) . And the first step to Klingon ships would be making a whole new set of windows and a more vibrant green colour skin as those are both absolutely essential. Klingons shouldnt have to put up with TOS Fed windows. My hopes to see the K'vort in at T5 and some folding BoP wings!

I'm at home cookin dinner right now lol

DKorkh already made a new material for the Klingons, vibrant green... almost turquoise like the show. No one seems to have commented about it yet though.

We'll be makin a bunch of window types for Klingons too yes. I wanna make sure they get a lot of love.

Most excellent clarification. And I appreciate the quick response--as ever you are on the ball.

Both would be cool.

I was actually surprised that the K'vort was not already included. As to the folding wings, for the B'rel, this would be particularly nice if and when we get our shuttle missions (hinted at here and there in the past). Imagine if we had some Klingon missions that required us to activate our "Baby-bird" so that we could land on a given planet--for whatever reason.

I know, now I am just getting fanciful. However, that would be the best reason I can think of for having folding wings in-game. To land on surfaces of somesort.

Regardless, I guess the other "Missing" Canon ship is the D5. Though in TAS it looked mostly like a D7, and in ENT it was really just a tanker chasis. Not sure what use a Tanker would be as a PC ship. But might be cool to see flying about as an NPC. (Unless it is already there and I simply have not noticed it).

I can think of a variety of non-canon Klingon vessels of course, but I think that is it for the stuff we have seen onscreen. I suppose one could include the various size discrepancies of the BoP as being other vessel types. But we already have plenty of BoP variants really--of which I like the Kloloth BTW.

Ah, I just thought alot of the devs would be working later than usual tonight cause its the night before a huge ordeal like season 2. Anyways, I noticed the new retro material its not necessarily vibrant but it is much much nicer than the original we had. when I said vibrant green I meant this:

note, orange feather patterns should be on BoP wings as that was one of the more recognizable features of BoPs.

And since you are touching up the Sovereign tomorrow, please please one of the most important things is the color pattern "none" the skin none should look like the canon version, which should resemble like it does below so if I chose all black as my colour scheme....:

none of the colour patterns look like that, and thats a pretty big factor in this ships aesthetics.

I like the new green material type myself. It seems to show up a little better (at least on my screen).

And, it is great to hear that the Klingons will be getting lots of attention as we go forward. THanks for that--you know, in advance.

Oh, and enjoy your meal! So you can keep your strength up for workin' your graphics muscles...*Woot*...

now THAT's green! Very saturated. I'll see about a new material soon.

On the Sov, I'll do my best within my limitations. This might be a long term project, kinda like the Galaxy has been for me.

Good to hear all the canon ships will be getting gradual retouches!

There are a number of shades and colors that could use additions as Klingon Hull materials...and most of them have been seen on the D7 and K'T'Inga classes;

http://www.ex-astris-scientia.org/ar...tlecruiser.htm

That's a pretty handy reference for pretty much all of them, from the dull, light grey for the TOS D7, to the darker grey of the TMP cruiser, the heavily touched up Kronos One*, and another example of the Very Saturated Green on the Trials and Tribbleations D7.

*To clarify, for Star Trek VI the K'T'inga model got a thoroughly updated color layout and paintjob, as the model was representing the Klingon's equivilent of Air Force One. The two Auction photos seem to depict this layout on the page below, but it could be a more muted version put together when the model was again used in DS9;

Already did a bunch of work on it. Have you seen the screenies?

He's referring to the new pics, side by sides and overlays on the first page. The slope of the Defiant's bow section should match the curvature of the hull and the nacelles are too bulky and too far forward in comparison to the studio model. (Also on the first page)
