Hello, I would like to plan my build for season 2 a bit in advance, so has anybody figured out how many skill points there will be between Rear Admiral 5 and Vice Admiral 1? I hope more than 5400.

uhhh just go the boxes you fill up

Well, even though the cap right now is RA 5, we really only have skill points into RA 1-4 (since we can't earn any points for the RA 5). Since we can currently have 16 'levels' at RA (1 skill maxed out at 9, another at 7; not the only way to do it, but just for simplicity's sake), that's 8000 skill points for 4 grades of RA (or 2000 skill points per grade).

If they make VA 1 the new cap, then we'll be able to earn skill points for RA 5 through RA 10, or 6 grades. At 2000 skill points per grade, that's another 12,000 skill points, or another 24 'levels' for RA skills. So, by the time we reach VA 1, we should be able to have a total of 40 'levels' in RA skills.

Now, I think I've even confused myself, lol. Anyhoo, I think we'll get another 12,000 skill points added to the cap. You don't have to spend them all on RA skills, of course, but we'll be able to get 24 more 'levels' or 'bars' in RA skills if we want to.

(This is all guess work on my part. I could be wrong, and I often am. Hopefully, someone can explain it better or point out where I've gone wrong in my maths. )

RA5 - VA1 = 6 levels = lvl 51= new cap :S

when I mean levels, it's not the grades (RA5, RA6, etc). It's the levels of skills (1-9, such as having Photonic Theory 7 or 9). I did say I didn't explain it very well, lol.

ohhhhhhh my bad soz .. my guese will be 3 full boxes and 4-6 left over.

I wouldn't put much thought into how many skill points. Given how easy it is to level, I wouldn't be surprised if people hit VA1 within 5 hours of Season 2 going live.

Not me, It often takes me 5 Hours to complete one mission. That would leave me a bit short for the needed skill points increase.
