We're getting episodic content (and bikinis) because we asked for it. I really disagree. I think we'll see more players, and a bunch return, when we get the episodic missions. And not just the Klingon-only missions, the weekly missions are Fed/Klingon neutral, so both sides can run them.

All we need now are some new PvP maps (genesis content would work here) some new scenarios (I have a few in mind if we want to discuss it) and let's discuss how we're going to work an Open PvP sector block.

When reading some of my posts, always remember that vBulletin does not have irony tags.

I am actually reasonably certain that there will be an influx of new Klingons that will want to explore those storyline missions. The question is if they will stay, but I figure if anything, it will cause more demand for new storyline missions on the Klingon side - and more players asking for it means Cryptic will work harder on that, too, since it will help them retain or gain subscribers now while previously focusing on the Federation side was definitely more cost-effective.

Of course, klingon episodes will also lead to some Federation players asking for more Federation episodes. (But I think a reasonable number of players will now actually try both sides and not necessarily see themselves as "Fed" only...)

your right, i know for a fact i cant stand my klingon much because pvp is so easy, and with nothing to do in the down time i get bored.

What they REALLY need to do is fix the stealth systems so KvsK pops more often, and fix the queing system as to have even team. FvsF pop more often just because the larger number of people mean more que up and thus we get full teams

I'm hoping season 2 patch does miracles for KDF side as it has absolutely no incentives at moment.
Man ...Klingon numbers drop for a lot longer then 1.2 ...what you have on klingon side is mostly bad/bored Feds that thought switching to klingon side would make awesome pvpers out of them ...there are only a handful of good Klingons still playing and quiet some have switched sides to Fed. So did i too ,its no fun to have those poorly playing people in team ...well if they at least would join the team ...but i already said to much i guess.

You fear that feds getting cloak cause you cant teamgank em? or decloak+ramm to death escorts? playing pvp with klingon is 200 times easier than with fed.

ohh and cry more river cause most feds playing FvF and cause there all have same chance to start the strike. not a noobhideplay like lolklingon style
Cry a river?

Good God dude you have no idea what you're talking about AT ALL. First off the Galaxy-X is not a crappy ship, in the right hands it is quite dangerous, but as usual 98% of Federation players are so incredibly bad that it seems that the ship sucks.

Secondly, Klingons don't complain nearly as much as Federation players do, in fact there are more threads and posts of the Federation complaining about something then there are active Klingon players.

Unique abilities are a major factor for players playing different factions in any game but this is a thing of the past now. I can't see this game lasting til the end of the year the way things are going, it's not even following start trek principles anymore, seems to be going more the way of ferenghi's chasing latinum.
Have you ever even watched any of the shows? Kllingons are not the only species to have cloak technology in the trek world. The Romulans were the first to display this technology I believe. The federation would have their own various versions of cloak, many of which were "borrowed" but at least in one case with the loss of the U.S.S. Pegasus was developed. The real world is like that too, seldom does any one group have the upper advantage exclusively for long. Perhaps you should view this as a challenge not as a defeat!

I am not so confidant S2.0 is going to save the KDF. I'm not holding my breath, nor feel the need to renew. If the tribble test version it's released before my sub is up I'll give it a try, other wise, I'll wait a few months and check the forum. GPvP is pretty much dead; SPvP waits are way too long; faction restriction in Gamma is retarded, and probably the number one reason KDF are dead/dieing; getting a TF team together on the KDF side takes 1.5 to 2.5 time longer than to run the TF - even with the KDF PvE channel, and other channels for KDF team building.

I like everything about this game: GPvP, SPvP, TFs, and PvE. However, management focused on one faction (which is short sighted), focused on space combat, and appeared to listened to Lifers wants and needs in the beginning then those that prefer a sub. Is it too little too late? I do not know. But is Cryptic willing to take some of that big chunk of change, fix the KDF to a fully functioning faction, fix ground combat and/or expand GPvP to 1v1, 2v2, and/or 1 (or 2) capt+AT v 1 (or 2) captain+AT, and advertise that? I do not know. I feel as if I have no say in this games future except when I cancel my sub.

Signed,

I have this feelings, too. The only thing one can hit Cryptic is by withdrawing money as they obviously are not listening. Regfreatably I can't charge the game cards I bought back from them for wasted play time.
