What they should have done is have made it a limited time offer, MOST of the problem would have been erased.

Sorry, but a LTS is still a subscription. Plan and simple, read the fine print. However, Cryptic is treating the LTS players like a F2P game would (which seems to be the winning model in MMOs), while treating the rest of you subscribers as the normal carrot on a stick players who get things when they feel ready to give it to you, meaning slowly.

From Cryptics actions, do you think they care that you pay 15$ a month and can cancel all the time, while they know a LTS player will pay $25 a ship each month while not complaining half as much and is likely not going anywhere soon?

Which group do you think has more say?

I think the STO customer database can handle inquires as complicated as "Who bought a Galaxy-X?" or "what is the total amount of money this account has spent on C-store products" and can identify and grade folks as ongoing/future reveue sources pretty concisely - and entirely seperately from who is lifetime and who is subscription.

I think that Cryptic weights the significance of the opinions of it's customers with far more clinical and dispassionate an eye than those customers do themselves. We may each be the center of our little universe, but none of us are the center of theirs .

Mostly, I'm trying to say don't overestimate the impact you (the generic, universal you, not the specific individuals I've been conversing with) have on their decision making process.

I made an argument a while back that the nebula should be a ship with universal bo slots and be a unique ship all on its own and not just a skin.

it has the look of a cruiser (as its modelled on the galaxy)
the sleekness of a escort (as it sometimes has a weapons pod and is much more compact than a cruiser)
and sometimes has the science pod and has often been shown in a science role

i doubt any of that is going to happen so i suspect it will go into science but who knows

Then why did you try to act as if you (the generic you) were somehow more of a subscriber simply cause you are a montly, this comment comes off a little hypocritical.

I think you mean me, the specific me .

I didn't, to my knowledge say I'm any more valuable of a customer to them than I am - which is to say an on-again, off-again subscriber who buys a few things at the C-store. One that they can see responds to the release of new costume stuff (I re-subed the day after they got my Mirror Univers Uniforms implemented in game) and one who can be woo'd with a sale (this month comes courtesy of the sale on the Hephestus and Imperial ship costume, which I bought within an hour or so of re-subing). It's not like I have to convince the Devs my value - they can look it up. IF Season 2 is out and entertaining me before this month is up, I'll likely extend another month. If it's not, they can look forward to another $15-$30 bucks from me when the Romulans are ready or if there is something unbearable cool before then.

However, that DOES make me a better prospect for ongoing/future revenue than a lifetimer who has anounced they will not buy anything else from the C-store ever without a radical policy shift.

You bet against the house, don't expect the house to be on your side after that. That's all. Nothing sinister.

I'm so radical for asking them to do what they said the would do at launch, what a radical change or APOLOGIZE and make a simple compensation like the referral program

When it comes to the C-Store, 9 out of 10 chance I won`t buy it. I bought points to get two extra slots and that is all I needed from the store. I am mainly a KDF player, 99% of my game play is on KDF side and usually there is nothing there for me.
