I'd rather have the whole of Season 2 pushed back to allow ship interiors to be added at launch, to be honest.

And I'm still a bit miffed that:

- they're adding additional ranks above Captain, making Admiralty ranks meaningless (they're effectively glorified Captains in STO, which isn't what being a Flag Officer should be about).

- the 'refit' (not 'retrofit' - bad misnomer, that) ships are separate ship classes from the regular Defiant/Galaxy/Intrepid, despite being identical. Can't we just upgrade the existing ships, rather than making a redundant 'extra' version of each? And why the hell are all these famous ships only available for Admirals, when they were under the command of Captains in the shows?!?

Bit disappointed with all of this, really - and the ship interiors thing doesn't help, either.

As I have posted time and again, I am a bit miffed about the interiors, especially since I have seen such interesting interiors on tribble during klingon missions.

Anyway, I don't see why everybody is so miffed about having retrofit ships that could be improved upon whilst the klingons...yet again...have nothing. Just empty promises of we have something in the future...somewhere whenever they get around to it after 2.0 releases.....

Why not just add it in 2.1? Why delay the bits that work for interiors?

Here here! I just can't wait to start earning skill points again! That's my personal favorite part of S2.

Don't get me wrong there appears to be many great new features coming up, and I look forward to those, but it's the skill points I "can't wait" for (though I hate the rank naming convention and wish Crpytic would separate levels/rank... But that's another issue... just let me improve my character again!)

Please do not wait any longer than you have to Cryptic. Get S2.0 out!!! Then a week or three later put out S2.1 followed by S2.2, etc until your all caught up.

Thanks!

Refit: Outfitting a ship again (by repairing or replacing parts) (wordnetweb.princeton.edu/perl/webwn)

Retrofit: provide with parts, devices, or equipment not available or in use at the time of the original manufacture; "They car companies retrofitted all the old models with new carburetors" (wordnetweb.princeton.edu/perl/webwn)

Retrofit is correct, refit is incorrect since this is an old model being provided with upgrades not available at the original time of manufacture. Not replacing or repairing parts (with just maintaining original usage).

That being said they aren't identical, the idea is the Captain level ones ARE the ones that were seen in the shows. These new versions are upgraded version, better more current tech. (In game that means upgrades officer stations, console capacity, and a special power for each ship). And while I enjoy the idea of these retrofits, I would also like to see lots of new Cryptic designs, AND I love the choice we have now (Season 1.2 and prior) with DSSV vs. Long Range Science, or Fleet Escort Vs. Advanced Escort, and so forth. I would love to see that as we go up in ranks we have to make more and more choices making us more unique, yet equally viable, like do we want more offensive power? (A model with more tactical options). Or a model with more hull repair and power management? (More engineering options). Or more shield control and crowd control? (More science options). That is great and I'd love to see it maintained.

Well i for one am stoked.

I just made Admiral not that long ago and playing with the t5 ships has been great.

I asked and got my super bad intrepid, so i am a happy camper.

More places and more kick butt stuff. It sounds good to me. I just think they are rushing the whole seasons bit. But i'll take what i can get.

The diplomacy sounds like it will add a good deal more depth to the game and allow for more interesting story archs that could go a few different ways.

So far they have done a bang up job with the game. It's a great deal more stable than it once was. The detail is growing and the goodies keep on rolling in with each update.

The Klingons, well personally i think i am going to wait at very least until the end of the year before i start one. The PVP is fun from time to time, but being locked in a constant PVP que... no thanks. I have only now really started to play with the wargames and other PVP content. I'll let the Klingons stew a bit.

Well season two has some pretty big shoes to fill. Season one has been great, the folks seem to just be warming up.
