Simply, who is your favorite Captain (books, movies, tv, etc) and why.
Personally, my favorite is Captain Benjamin L. Sisko, a Starfleet Captain, Religious Icon, Commander of DS9 and most bad Captain ever. I can't believe how many times I have watched DS9 and just been like wow, I think if he and Kirk got in a battle, Sisko would use his awesome voice to scare Kirk and then kick his butt. But that is just my opinion.
Well.... Captain Mathew Renolds from the Tactical Assult game, set in the TOS Movie era. I though he handled himself well under the circumstances of the 15 campaign missions. I came to respect how they developed his character over the short amount of time and I whole heartedly believe Renolds can take any of the capains in combat.

Would love to know everyone else's opinion.
Captain Sisko was my favorite as well. He was such a departure from the traditional captains of Star Trek. He also felt the most human out of Kirk, Picard, Janeway, and Archer. I like all the captains minus Janeway and Archer, but Sisko stands above his peers in my opinion.
Seriously I think Picard was the best captain. He's the only one with the balls to shoot himself in the face with a phaser and fly a shuttle into a timebending entity to save his crew.

I found him a little too calm at points. After he was assimilated by the Borg, Picard immediately went into his ready room and drank some tea. Sisko watched his ship and wife be blown up by the Borg and immediately wen about helping at Utopia Planitia where a battleship capable of whipping pretty much every ship in the frickin galaxy would be built. A little bit badder.
I thought that they each showed a good side of humanity. Picard, always extremely calm and the epitome of Gene Roddenberry's perfect future idea. Sisko, more humanistic, was always ready to beat the crap out of everyone who slightly got on his nerves and was capable of tricking an entire Empire into war and could live with it. There differences best shown by their interaction with Q. Certain destruction looming, Picard gives very long speeches, Sisko punches an omnipotent being (capable of wiping out pretty much everything in the galaxy) straight in the face and doesn't even flinch.
