Is the product essential to gameplay? Are you being forced to buy it?

This isn't Combat Arms. The Excelsior won't make you a super uber PvP trooper, nor will the Nebula.

way to miss the point..... here let em help you. the point of the C-store is to sale the items. if you price the items to high then people will not buy them. if people do not buy them then you don't make money off of the items.

Have they even put out the price of said items?

especially when super heroes don't really ever have 4-5 different costumes (slots) at one time to choose from.

people forced to wear uniforms should have more flair to set them apart.

that also we don't that yet, and that is why they need to come and tell us their plan that way they put out the fires. give us some information on what the plan.

You get a new costume slot on Tribble, atm.

So when you put them out at one price, and they don't sell, you lower the price until they do. That's how capitalism works. Sony's PS3 cost too much at first. They lowered the price, and sold more. They came out with another cheaper version, and sold even more.

What people in this thread are really scared of? That people will go out and buy these as priced in droves, and Cryptic will continue to price things accordingly.

Are they Tier 5? Do they have 20 weapons slots per side?

I think they are really scared that the whole game is going to be c-store purchase soon... they tried it in co to have 'updates' go there, so I think people are seeing more and more 'special' things being added to the store... next stop in people's minds may be updates, seasons, gear, more ships, bos, content, etc.

it seems that cryptic knows no bounds at this point.
