I have found the larger the team the better the drops. By myself I have have a few purple drops doing exploration dailies, but on a team of three or more, it seems a 1/4 of the missions drop a purple.

I have gotten several very rare drops on elite difficulty in B'Tran when playing with a team.... a larger number of enemies obviously has a greater chance of dropping the very rare items... I have reports in my fleet of very rare mkx combat engine drop for aid the planet...

I also got several very rare drops before the difficulty setting was added grinding the +2 DSE in Gamma Orionis. The very rare drops happen very rarely.... we get blues and greens all the time on elite.

Ummm... if you didn't get any purples in a STF you must have done it wrong as they are always dropped.... if u save the transmitters in the space part of infected u get a purple space drop... but STF's are not subject to difficulty settings....

I haven't gotten any purple drops from story missions done on elite... and I've been redoing them recently for accolades.....

The good news is that I've been seeing blue & green mkXII gear dropping on the test server while playing elite B'Tran & DSE's...

I have found NO purple drops yet.

However I have seen a pattern of Green's and Blue's - Pattern being the faster and harder you make a kill seems to matter on the drop - I might just be nuts but it sure looks like a pattern to me.

None. But a buddy of mine did get a Very Rare as a reward to a aid mission.

Had a fair few blues drop, but the only purples I have ever had have been bought with badges/emblems only.

With a lot of Elite exploration missions, I've gotten about 4 purple drops. All useless. The best drops I've gotten have all been blues.

I've also gotten 2 purples from Aid the Planet missions at the very beginning of the new system, but then the quality of rewards seemed to go down.

Never had a purple drop. Had a few blues though.

resilient shield x2 cap, sold it for 9.25mil, since i didn't have a use for it

difficulty setting was on normal. serioulsy i cbf setting it higher when all i do in game is daily missions on four different toons.

A) Surely that was just a rare with only two modifiers
B) That sounds like the best shield you could possibly get, barring a [cap]x3! Why'd you get rid?!
