Honestly, You seem to know what you're talking about most of the time. The beam powers make up 2 out of 5 powers at ensign level, FaW, BO, Torp Spread, HYT and Tac Team. the fact that there are only 5 powers at ensign level of which 1 is never used by anyone (spread) is the core of the problem, most will be running a HYt 2 or 3 and possibly a BO if they have a dual beam up front. Toss a single beam in the back and FAW could be used as point defence but asside from a FaW and Tac team having any other skills at ensign level (as they are now) is somewhat gimping yourself.

Snix has said he's going to take a good look at ensign level power once season 2 is on holodeck. May as well leave the defiant alone till he can get to that. If Raptor pilots have been putting up with it since launch I'm sure the feds can manage it for a month or less while more powers get put at ensign level. unless of course you're willing to admit feds can whine longer and louder than even klingons.

Well, like I said earlier, if they're giving us more ensign powers, then I'm satisfied.

Nope, I think I'll leave that to the Klingons... and future Romulans?

Yes, that's my issue. No cloak, better hull is what I want to see.

Though, the new model updates are really fantastic. Capt. Logan did a magnificent job.
He did and he keeps doing it.

Damn I still haven't got anyone other than klingons to admit it, ah well was worth a try. though if future romulans don't cry louder than everyone else combined I'll be supprised. :p

On Tribble, I am currently actually using torpedo spread in my ensign slot. (Along with Beam Fire At Will for the aft beam arrays intercepting projectiles primarily and Tactical Team). My Tribble Tactical unfortunately uses... non-optimized equipment, since I didn't copy my most current version over. I think Torpedo Spread might be nice for the Chronitions I am currently forced to use aft. You have a chance of slowing down multiple enemies when you're running. Clearly it's not for the damage this will inflict...

I am actually specced for chronitons on live, I love em, keeping a bop/escort or even a crusier from turning is nice. Ive thought about even going chronitons and then TSW3 on my engineer once season 2 goes live.

I'm sure no one used chroniton for the damage, its either becuase they look pretty or they want the buff, My battlecruiser uses one for ad aft for just that reason. Not that the damage is bad on them, still higher flat damage than photons. (not dps of course) So yea I can see where spread might be usefull if all your after on the torp is the buff.
