# 1 Welcome Back Weekend, seriously?
08-04-2010, 12:49 PM
I just received an email that announced the Welcome Back Event for all former players to celebrate Season 2. [The event begins Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific and ends Monday, August 9, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific.]

Cryptic, are you serious? With the current state of the PVP queue system, this sounds more like suicide than like a good idea to win back players.

Will this thread become a new depository for one-liner complaints?

Btw if you feel so strongly about it, to actually make a.....banner.....or something....spell campaign properly.

If this is a bad idea, the results of the weekend will show that. If it is a good idea, then we all win. As a player, I wouldn't worry, because both results help make the game better.

Not so much a complaint. But if teaming is broken for a good portion of the game during the Welcome Back Weekend, that doesn't exactly do the game any favors.

Making the assumption that the returning people would be returning for pvp purposes? The weekend will tell how successful or not it is to be honest, I say let them push for re-subscribers if that will help the bottom line when it comes time for the masters to dole out resources to improve the game to generate more subscribers....

No it won't... but surveys, twitter, facebook, MMORPG.com, Massively.com and every other website will be talking about it and their comments DO help the game, even when they are negative. They also attract a lot of attention to website if nothing else. How else can Cryptic reach out to their former customers? If any subscribe, that is a good thing for everyone even if there are massive complaints about server stability... if Cryptic management sees that they lost potential subscribers because of bugs or server stability suddenly those things become a higher priority....
