# 1 The O' Brian

I am on this mission for Deep Space Nine where I have to take on the mirror universe. Fine. I'm at the part of the mission where I fight these two ships outside DS9. they are tough but I can beat them.
So here somes the O'Brian and it is almost impossible to beat.(even being at -2 of my ship). I spent over an hour hitting and running this ship and got it down to 30% and was like "Nice!". all of a sudden it disappears not even 12km from me to reappear at 100%.(one time it was down to 40% and warped out and came back at 100%). I so wanted to scream.

This mission is making me want to cancel my subscription and take he game out of my computer.

NPCs have to be very frustrated before they will warp out. Usually they will follow you all over the map. What were you doing? Were you using a cloaking ship?

What difficulty were you using?
What type of ship were you flying?
What type of captain did you have?
How did you have it equipped?
What were your power level settings?

I only ask because I have run two Engineer/cruiser captains, two Tactical/escort captains, and one Science/science captain through that mission, and I never had a single problem with that NPC ship; also, we need a bit more info before we can really offer suggestions.

One of the Tactical captains I ran through it was only a couple days ago, after Season 2 released, btw.

I would fight as much as I could and do as much damage and break off for a bit to repair and get my sheilds back but not too far so I don't wan to lose him.
But sometimes I'm not too far away and he either disappears and comes back 100% or warps out and comes back 100% sometimes while I'm still repairing.
And it's frustrating because I spend awhile getting him down to 30% and all of a sudden he's right back to 100.

By the way my ship is a Defiant class ship(tatical escort) loaded with plasma and chroniton torpedoes with phaser cannons. I also have mines.

Its probably resetting. If you go far enough away or don;t do anything to it for a little while that part of the scenario will reset and it will be back to full strength. I remember it being a hard fight, but it's not unbeatable.

Still having trouble beating it. He cuts through my sheilds sometimes like butter.

Thinking about using one of my other ships for this mission. Maybe one that can take more of a beating than a Defiant class.
