orbital skydiving does have a precedent kirk was supposed to go orbital skydiving in previous movie but it got cut from movie and in noyager after blanna finds out her maquis friends were killed by cardies she tries obital skydiving on holodeck with safety protocols disengaged

Now that that has been cleared up, as someone else has already said Cryptic simply doesnt have the rights to use the things from the new movie. Thats not to say they couldnt create some new costume or couldnt do a sky diving mission. However, there are far more things that actually relate to the feel of Trek that arent in the game that I would rather see first.
