I would like to see green photon torpedoes as an option or possibility in the game. In some of the movies and shows the Klingons had them.

The Bird of Prey in Star Trek 3 and the one in 5 fired this:

http://services.tos.net/pics/st5/st5-kli3.jpg

It does not even remotely look like a Photon Torpedo.
And since it is probably neither a Photon Torpedo nor a chicken sandwich, it is most likely a Plasma torpedo.
Since the Klingons got the cloaking device from the Romulans who is to say they did not get some examples of Romulan plasma weaponry as well?
The Klingons probably found them unsatisfactory and therefore dropped them.
Since one of the lines removed from the actual film was that Kruge stole the ship from the Romulans which was a change from the original script which featured Romulans, which in turn resulted in the Bird of Prey design before the script was changed to include the Klingons, it most likely IS a plasma torpedo effect.

The BoP in Star Trek 6 fired typical red torpedoes that were so similar to Starfleet Photons that noone noticed the difference.
Also the model in Star Trek 6 did not feature the strange "hood" of "cap" on the Torpedo launcher as the version from Star Trek 3,4,5, so it must be a different version.
The article from Wikipedia you linked to simply states the races that have been ecplicitly mentioned to have them.

The K't'inga always fired red photons and I'd love to keep repeating one of my favourite scenes from Star Trek 1.
The K't'inga in Voyager does not really count since it was supposed to be a D7 and the SFX guys got it wrong.
In addition the ship got the "alien of the week standard weaponry" which resulted in a Klingon ship armed with torpedoes that were identical to those the Borg were using.
The same goes for the weapons effects in "Enterprise" where the D5 has the same beam weapons as the Borg...

In case of the Negh'var it is still not certain whether this was a pair of torpedoes or something like a supersized disruptor cannon:

The K'vort Bird of Prey in "Redemption" fired a torpedo that is so different from any other that it might not actually have been a Photon Torpedo but something else entirely

Look at 3:50 that is either some kind of Plasma torpedo, of perhaps something like the Ion Torpedoes the Klingons supposedly used as an advanced form of Torpedo accordng to "Birth of the Federation".
There have been requests for a Klingon-specific torpedo weapon in the past, like the Ion Torpedo or the Magnetic Pulse Torpedo from "Errand of Mercy"
http://memory-alpha.org/wiki/Magnetic_pulse_weapon
which looks like some kind of TOS Klingon Photon Torpedo.

Personally I'd prefer at least one kind of unique Klingon-designed torpedo either an Ion Torpedo or the Magneitc Pulse Torpedo insteatd of changing the colour of the Photon Torpedes when fired from a Klingon Torpeod tube, which would look particularly stupid on the K't'inga which has a giant red glowing Photon Tube.

The new weapon can be a green coloured Photon Torpedo effect if that is really what it takes, but don't take away the red Photons from my K't'inga.

According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...oton_torpedoes "When fired, photon torpedoes usually appear as a spiky ball of energy of varying colors, such as red, orange, yellow, blue, or green."

Also according to http://memory-alpha.org/wiki/Photon_torpedo there are green photon torpedoes, specifically ones used by Klingons. See the photos and captions on the right hand side, specifically the one that reads: "A 22nd century Klingon Bird-of-prey firing a photon torpedo." Clearly in the photo, it is green.

It says at the same link: "Klingon and Federation photon torpedoes had a frequency, related to that of its target's deflector shield frequency modulation, measured in megahertz. When both were matched torpedoes could penetrate the shields of the target starship. (TNG: "Pen Pals", "Half a Life"; Star Trek Generations; VOY: "Equinox, Part II") " This is unmistakeably a reference to scene in Generations where the Bird of Prey fires the green torpedo upon the Enterprise.

By the way, even if Klingon photon torpedoes were made green, you can easily trade a Federation launcher to your Klingon character which would turn them red for you again if you really wanted to.

Klinks use plasma, that's why they are green.

Bring back /powerhue! Then we can all access a rainbow of colors to satiate all our weapon-color desires whenever we want.

When we had the /colorhue fiasco, shortly after STO's launch (players could change the color of their beams and projectiles), we were told that Parmaount decided on the colors and what we see is what we get.

So I highly doubt we are going to see Photons being anything but red.

Unless Cryptic gets that crafting system right and we are finally allowed to creade weapon-type hybrids, like the Plasma Disruptor we get as a reward in one of the Federation missions, then we can (I hope) make a Plasma Photon Torpedo hybrid that is green and makes everyone involved happy.
