Those images have just reminded me. Why are we still using the older Voyager/First Contact Tricoders and not some new version, or at least the last version seen in the Prime Universe:

Old Tricorder from Voyager Season 2 - onwards: http://imgur.com/xFNrx.jpg

New Tricorder from Star Trek Nemesis: http://imgur.com/5WH3J.jpg & http://imgur.com/DI0PJ.jpg

Hmm, if I wanted an FPS view.. I think I'd probably got play a Star Trek FPS... a bit like Elite Force etc; and not an MMO.

whew !

even in first person, those interior hallways look like warehouses.

even more so since we get the actual feeling of how short we really are in there.

Adding a first person view as an option would be fine. I'd hate to be forced to use a first person view. I don't like FPS games.

In Fallen Earth you can zoom in and out from 1st Person to 3rd Person just by rolling your mouse wheel.

Though in 1st Person view w/ melee, it often doesn't (graphically, visually) register every single swing, unfortunately.
