(OOC) I like the sound of this fleet. I'm due to retire from the USAF in about 220 days. I have several characters, both Federation and Klingon side. Two of my Federation characters are in Zeta Fleet, which has, for all intents and purposes, gone into hibernation. I would plan on keeping my main character (see sig) in Zeta, but my other alts could possibly join the 7th, if you have room.

Of primary interest to me is if you have any folks that are on from 2300 hrs and later in the Eastern USA time zone? That is when I tend to be on. I enjoy playing STO, but most of the time I am playing solo, due to the less-than-ideal teaming interface. I love doing episodes/missions with other folks, as well as PvP (primarily space).

If you're curious, aside from Bor'annus, I have the following characters:
Syrann, Half Vulcan/Romulan (M), Science, Captain USS Gates (Long Range Science Vessel)
Shayduko, Liberated Borg (M), Engineering, Captain USS Coassack (Tactical Escort)
Vennix, Denobulan (M), Engineering, Commander USS Glaive (Heavy Cruiser)
Narqqil, Ferengi (M), Tactical, Commander USS Shanghai (Heavy Escort)

On the Klingon side, I have:
D'Velkres K'ang, Klingon (F), Tactical, Brigadier General (Lwr) IKS iW'nuH (Negh'var Battlecruiser)
Kejjik, Nausicaan (M), Science, Commander IKS uD haQtaJ (Norgh Bird of Prey)
Murgh the Cursed, Liberated Borg Klingon (M), Engineer, Commander IKS joY' (K't'inga Battlecruiser)
Kaliyara, Orion (F), Science, Lt Commander IKS Harbinger (Somraw Raptor)

I have a few Lieutenants between both factions I haven't bothered to list here; I bought character slots when they had the discount weekend a few months back.

If you think I'd fit in with your Fleet, I'd be happy to find a place amongst your ranks.

Application submitted via the site; it took me a bit to figure out what each of the Task Forces focus on. Some were obvious from their sub-threads, others not as much. I submitted my application under Syrann, as he is my ranking Federation side character at this time.

Do not get to wrapped up in picking a Task Force, that is more for organization than actual game use. Plus it is really easy to transfer between Task Forces.

Looking forward to seeing you in game...

Goooooooood <insert your time of day, here> STO!

Hello MortarrKang. Thanks for taking the time to check us out, I wish you luck on your application! You sound like a good fit for the Lucky 7th. The Admiralty will review your application in the order it was received and get back to you in relatively short order.

Like our dear Mr. Ed said, don't worry too much about the TF you singed up for. You can always change it later as you learn more about the Fleet's organization. I myself had signed up for a science based TF but found out later that the Marines accepted more than just TacOs. Being a former US Marine, I gravitated to that aspect of this many faceted Fleet. You will find that we have quite a bit to offer.

Again, good luck on your application process and I look forward to meeting you in game!

Logged on with Syrann, removed him from Zeta Fleet, and did a search for 7th Fleet. Only result I saw was the 7th Fleet Tactical Wing, which I found out is not you folks. I got the e-mail notification that my application was approved. Will try to be on later this afternoon (1600 hrs, EDT) and hopefully will find someone on at that time.

Congratulations on your acceptance and welcome aboard The Lucky 7th sir!

I recommend that you post on our forums, say hi, introduce yourself to those who do not frequent the recruiting thread here and be sure to request an invite to the fleet. That should cut down on the delay considerably.

Most of us are still at work and can't do much for you atm. We will get you settled in, please have patience. Add me to friends, I am normally on at or soon after 1800 EST for a few hours each night.

If you have ventrilo already set up, it should make things a lot easier as well.
